The catch is the flights to either meet the ship for the start of the cruise or the flight home at the end, depending upon which way the ship is going and where home is. Flying to Vancouver from Michigan is not that much more expensive or time consuming than flying to LA, but flights home from Hawaii are twice as long and twice as expensive

Miami is a cheap flight home but our flights to Barcelona was close to the cost of the cruise. But we decided to make it a trip to Spain and use the cruise as an alternative way home lol.

We are taking the repositioning cruise (18 nights) on the Ovation from Sydney to Honolulu in April 2024. I called my wife a "Pollywog" so that's how we got here. I'm an old Shellback from my Navy days. She was Navy too, but stationed in hospitals & clinics.

Wow, very nice! Thanks for the video! How is the condition of this sanctuary and others around the SW Florida now after Hurricane Ian in 2022. I've never been to Florida and am thinking about doing a bird photography trip this year's March or April. But not sure if it will still look nice or should I wait until next Winter? Also, I'm concerned about the danger that the crocs and alligators pose in these places. What is your advice/caution for someone new to Florida?
@bluelinervadventures2410

Interesting that you should ask that. Not 100% certain yet but it appears Karen & I may be purchasing a home ourselves in Florida in the next year. It’s an income tax free state and property taxes for seniors is greatly reduced. Highway systems are new and good schools/hospitals. The only real downside is housing insurance. Because of hurricanes like Ian, housing insurance can be expensive. As far as seeing hurricane damage ourselves? We only saw it in the panhandle part of the state near Pensacola and it wasn’t that bad. Most of it is cleaned up

Exciting! Where in Florida are you planning to buy a house in? I’m fast approaching retirement and looking for a place to retire too. Which areas in Florida would be good candidates? By the way, should I be worried about crocodiles and alligators when out doing bird photography in these nature reserves and the beaches in SW Florida?

The 2 step traffic stop was just deemed unconstitutional by a federal judge. Kansas State Troopers have been notorious for this. It's an illegal way of circumventing probable cause and the 4th amendment.

I actually had to look that up because I had never heard of a “two step,” in 33 years of law enforcement. After reading up on it, I agree with the judge, it’s “Unconstitutional.” I don’t think it’s something used very often. Like I said, I never even heard of it. Thanks for the info 👍

I’ve been reading comments on other videos n I heard a few that a few clogged RV thetford toilets did get unclogged with a plunger. We were cleaning out our Thetford with the wand n the toilet paper that sticks to the sides as it goes down, for some reason. So it came off and it clogged the hole of the black tank going out n it backed up. We have done back wash n snaked n everything we could think of n it isn’t going down yet. We are exasperated n needed a real video with a real problem like ours. We may use a plunger. I don’t have yeast n it’s late. So we used vinegar n lemon n baking soda. Didn’t work. So we put ammonia in there and dawn dish soap It’s late n all the stores are all closed. Not sure what to do but the plunger sounds good to us at this point. 🚽 🪠 Our pipe is straight down to the tank. That’s ridiculous to put a bend in a pipe to the tank. What kind of RV architect would do something so horrible? That’s awful!
