I have been listening to Finbar during my Breast cancer journey .. I am 67 ..bc in 1992 and 2023 he is the best therapy ever to just to help me relax and keep calm...I have googled everything about the guy ..sweet sixteen i with Imelda is my most loved song ...may he sin to the end of time....would love to hear more with his daughter Aine...

We had a group sing along of this song at the Last Hurrah family and friends gathering a few years back. We had a local PA Irish band. It was brilliant and still brings a tear we have I hear this.

This man had a huge influence on my understanding of music and life - eventually when I got to visit and live in Ireland - It came as a shock to me that he was not as popular at home as he (and The Furey's) were in my home country. A greater shock that he no longer was part of the band - whom I saw live in Dublin. I visited O'Donaghue's in Merrion Row Dublin - saw the pictures of him on the walls and wondered if I would ever hear him again. What a master, a voice that was created to sing and the pipes that were created to melt the heart. So glad he is still playing and singing and we can all still hear him.
