It favoured a few perches, this being one of them. I met it in early October, and then in early November, but interestingly, there was no obvious changes in its plumage. I'm wondering when, if ever, it will start wearing winter clothes!😁 Thanks for watching!😊

Good morning to you from Hong Kong 🇭🇰 SAR. GREAT close-ups of the Bulbul 👍👍👍👍👍Hong Kong only has the Red-whiskered Bulbuls and Chinese Bulbuls in the New Territories along the beachfront promenade and nearby hillside walking trails. Though I am sure there may be other species of Bulbuls inH Hong Kong 🇭🇰, I have not seen any other Bulbul except the two I had just mentioned.

This Honey Buzzard breeds in temperate zone Russia, North China 🇨🇳 and Japan 🇯🇵; And continental South-east Asia to Thailand 🇹🇭. Presumed breeding in Peninsula Malaysia 🇲🇾. This raptor is common and widespread throughout Singapore 🇸🇬 during the winter months and can be found in the parks even in urban areas.

Hi, I found out that the Oriental Honey Buzzard, orientalis, whose breeding range stretches from south Siberia to northeast China 🇨🇳 and Japan 🇯🇵. In addition. P.p. ruficollis ranges from India 🇮🇳 east through Indochina to southwest China 🇨🇳 and may occur occasionally.

I find this species truly intelligent & marvelously adaptable. So far, it has been landing safely in Singapore & fending very well for itself, unlike the other species, the Black- backed Kingfisher, who, more often than not, banged into buildings upon landing 😓 Yes, it is amazing to spot it in canals! 😅 The fact that this common kingfisher could hunt successfully in a canal is testament to its remarkable adaptability.
