hmmm see your point but both are different. I play both and enjoy both equally! UK Racketball has much more of an aerobic demand than the speed and power of squash. The ball is much different so the tactical play in terms of weight of shot, time to kill, and types of shots are where it differs to squash slightly. In the UK, this game is just as popular in some of the bigger the clubs because two relatively new-to-the-game players can have a lot longer rallies and 'better' matches. I know from talking to people that racketball has saved their club as it increases court usage and memberships. I don't see the sports as competitors, but should compliment each other at each clubs landscapes. One benefits from another... Hope this helps!

I played squash and switched to this as I didn't want any injuries from lunging into corners. I'd already snapped an achilles. I'm back to playing this and the cardio workout is something else.

@@mattbedwell3015 very well articulated. I have over last year gradually switched after player squash for a long time, and whilst I still love squash, racketball is a great game. It’s absolutely brutal cardio but definitely more forgiving on the joints. The rallies are great to play and as the ball action and striking differ from squash it’s a very different game to try and close out points on. Both great games.

Why would you take to the keyboard to dis another sport that people enjoy? Does it not meet your standard, why comment??! Both sports co-exist and increase membership and participation in squash clubs. Is that not a good thing? When you've played squash for 25 years and you're body cannot cope with the exteme demands of the sport. Racketball offers an alternative slower game with very similar tactical competition and reward. The aerobic and skills required are also very similar.

@@markn.7914 Indeed we do! Both play and coaches within the UK... Racketball (UK Version) has slightly different demands and tactics than squash - I enjoy both!

@@AndreasKlanzer2384 way easier* It's similar to playing squash with a starter ball. However racketball at a higher level does involve a lot more lower shots and therefore good balance and movement
