What are we looking for? First I watched the bitrate and they looked about the same. Then I looked at the breakup over the trees which appeared similar. What am I missing?

That’s pretty much the point. From the multiple tests over a year or more shows pretty much the same results. That, from what I’ve seen, after market antennas don’t do anything better than the stock antennas.

I completely agree with you about the canopy angle out of the box isn't helpful for beginners. Do you have any links for other canopies with lower angles?

Air 75 bound receiver three plugging way. In betaflight switches working, they are lighting up yellow apart from the arming switch can't arm drone. Can u help, please. This is the second whoop I can't get flying 😂

Crazy the only jumper i had that didn't give a issue believe it or not is the t-lite (there cheapest) but ive had a couple other radio's from them and the same thing happened to me... just died!! Now i have a Radiomaster tx16s and i have been thru hell with that radio and its never given me any problems. Absolutely awesome product... i like the feel of a big radio unless im flying whoops then i use my t-lite. Cant go wrong with Radiomaster for sure!! 👍

Do you use a standard USB-C to USB-C cable between the Pi and the goggles, or are you using a modified cable with the 5V wire cut (didn't see that you mention this in the video)? I'm asking since on the cosmostreamer site it says "Standard cable can't be used, need to made a custom cable. Take any USB-C to USB-C cable and cut the red wire inside (5 Volts lane)."

Standard USB-C to USB-C is fine for Goggles3, Integra or Goggles N3 (goggles with the internal battery), but with Goggles2 doesn't works correctly because of 5V lane from the goggles. Can work and can not work. That's why need to use USB cable + OTG from Goggles2 kit, or just cut 5V wire (usually a red wire) inside the cable.

I’ve flown for 12 years did hobbyist FPV over 180 logged lift off hours and I gettin to old to solder or deal with all the headaches of packs and only getting 3/7 mins of flight time I sold all my stuff and went back to the potato and couldn’t be happier …And can’t talk about DJI and have a Neo filming your content lol all my DJI stuff has nothing to do with DJI all jail broken and hacked I fly we’re I want when I want but in a safe professional manor hour not up to the government to tell me what to do with my toys before I exited the hobbyist FPV world I did all I could to keep from RID from happening as would have had to pay for over 6 different quads that’s rediculas only thing that started it all was the air delivery stuff they think we’re gonna be hijacking people packages when most my quads only flew a certain distance before hitting fail safes anyway that’s my two cents I remember when we could fly for free

Yeah it’s always empty in the winter as it’s closed. A few walkers show up every hour but it’s pretty much mine. The cop says he flies there too, as they just bought the station’s first drone and now he’s working on his Part 107. And for sure. If it was even slightly busy, I would have picked a spot.

Bro how have I gone this long without you in my algorithm well known Dallas KZbinr you rock I’m still pimpin my v2 s with patch and luminears but most don’t know even though you can boost your antennas but most DJI still only configured with 2.8 not the 5.8 that luminear actually services…Fly on buddy you get out towards Dallas give me a shout ..

@@iq_inf From watching the whole video and performance, the gains for swapping antennas seemed super negligible (close enough that it didn't seem noteworthy to me given the lack of control throughout the testing). I'm sure if you were doing super long range that patches or helical antennas would provide superior range, but for the flying 99% of people do with 03 the stock antennas are by far and large good enough and upgrading seems like an unnecessary outlay for most. Also remember this test was flying only in front of himself, if you were also to fly around and behind yourself those patches might actually prove a worse choice than the stock antenna. As always choose what best fits your use case 🙏.

@le_tranq I think this bit is the most interesting bit, 23:40 it seems to hold way higher data rate behind that metal building. For me, the penetration in situations like that is when it matters. I'd expect most antenna to work well just flying about at close range with clear los.

@@iq_inf For sure it was slightly better, enough to justify a purchase for that style of use case? Not for me personally, but if you really need that for some reason (for a job etc) it's probably worth it. Lets just say I've never had a problem with range in stock antennas, I guess if I did I might consider it.

Nice video. I was curious about the new bdi antennas. You should really try the maple wireless 11db linear patch antennas for the g2. They're sold on Amazon as axisflying antennas for some reason but they're maple wireless. They're made for the g2 with mounts and all. I've tried all of the ones you did besides the bdi's and the maple wireless ones are the best performing for sure

I would of liked to see you use the BDI on stock linear antennas. I did a little test on penetration not super crazy but it wasn't like a massively big difference from stock from what I see so far but yeah I may leave bdi on for now until further notice I guess. Instead of mating and unloading the antennas

My air65 bounced into the swimming pool and was on the bottom for a couple of minutes. Only had to replace the camera and it’s back to normal, crazy!

Thanks for showing up this modification Just a tip though, stick to using that overhead camera to show close-up shots, instead of the tiny Picture-in-picture in the corner, that's 1/10th the size of the overhead camera Or maybe skip the PIP in the corner altogether, as it covered the view of your hands at times

I stress relieve the canopy with a heat gun and hot glue the u.fl down and in the hole where it pokes out.
