You make it look easy, man. Also, it's been the smuggling route for hash forever. No fantasy, just fantastic hash! What's your setup? Me likey.

Thank you! I am halfway through the workout at this point. Will slow it down a bit for one song then finish with a 4-song bang...as you will see in coming videos :). Happy Holidays!

Impressive! You truly captured the essence of Peart even mimicking his movements with precision. Well done.

Thank you! It's far more entertaining as a workout than a treadmill. I get to hear Neil for about an hour straight :)

It looks great but all I hear is Neil. You hit that china cymbal and it made no sound.
@HotDrumming15 күн бұрын
If by "It looks great" you mean then thanks:) The kit is muted so my family doesn't have to listen to rock concert...but that just means I can play hard and can totally feel if I am on. It is a workout as much as drum practice. Not so bad only hearing Neil. That's all I hear and he likely sounds better than me:) Cheers.

Thanks for the nice comment. By the time you have played 10 songs, you know you have had a great workout. So much more entertaining than a treadmill...:)

Great job Neal rarely came up with easy drum parts. Also that's a beautiful set of DW's
@HotDrumming15 күн бұрын
Thank you. The DW's are 15 years old now and the gold rims have stood up fine. Neil was a drum god!

Well done! Neil would be proud! I'm 62, live in Northern Minnesota and play on a Mapex 30th anniversary limited edition garnet flame maple set. Cymbals are two crash, two splash, two trash and two Chinas, one holy China, one flat. Double kick pedals are yamaha direct drive. I mostly play metal so it's a lot of double kicking. It definitely keeps you in shape, but my stamina is lacking, lol My day job as a painter keeps me in shape, but gets in the way too because I'm worn out some days when I get home. Also shoveling and blowing snow in the winter when it's -20 outside get in the way because I just want to curl up in a blanket afterwards haha, I just need to retire, move somewhere warm and play drums!

That's a wicked kit. I am in the Toronto area so not the kind of winters you see in Minnesota. I've been doing this hot workout for years and my wife got me the infrared heater to make it a full-on hot-room program. I enjoy it and the dogs aren't freaked out so it works for everyone. Good luck to your Vikings :)

Where is your drum audio?
@HotDrumming22 күн бұрын
Audio would sound like crap with all the pads and rubber...and my wife would confirm just that :) This is workout while getting great practice - in a house full of creatures who don't want to hear a Rush concert in the basement. The heater makes it "like" hot yoga but far more active. As a drummer, you know when you're on and when your not when playing this way. Cheers Natural Science:)
@NaturalScienceRushTribute22 күн бұрын
@ yeah I totally get that. It’s hard to be a Drummer in a house full of non-musicians. Could you take the audio out from your drum system and record that into logic or GarageBand and mix that with the original? Just for fun. If you’re mostly in it for the workout and the syncopation, then who cares right… just have fun!
@HotDrumming21 күн бұрын
@@NaturalScienceRushTribute Exactly. I have an e-kit I can also use and put both music and kit through a mixer. I just prefer to practice on this kit since I am in a band and it's nice to practice on the same kit you use live. It's not a Rush tribute but we do play New World Man and Limelight.

@@HotDrumming @ Detroit Joe Louis Arena. Sadly, no longer standing as it was torn down....but the memory last a life time. I was fortunate to see Geddy & Alex up close as they walked past me in a bar in Royal Oak, MI before going on the air with WRIF 101 FM the night of the Roll The Bones Tour.....pure luck & timing
