Fantastic. As much as I appreciate steam locos, this for me is rail nostalgia. These are locos I've actually seen in service or travelled with. Oh, and the Abba song is just a bonus since I now live in Sweden 😋

Great stuff, not sure about the mix of modern and classic vehicles though. Historically speaking, I don't think any A4 Pacific loco would've been running on the NYMR during the 1960s. Up until about 1967 Nigel Gresley was apparently painted in a green livery (I don't think many people know this; an A4 book I have shows Gresley in green in 1966) then underwent an overhaul in 67 (presumably out of service until the 1970s). Ever since though that particular A4 has been painted blue. Would be nice for them to change the colour now and again, and I'm surprised model A4 Nigel Gresley's in 00 or N gauge aren't available in green, but I'm guessing it's because people aren't aware that it used to be green at one point, same with Mallard, which, during the 60s was also green.

After looking at the Tornado in that paint scheme...Am I the only one thinking that we might see it in blue again?

I went on the Saturday but, so far, I've only had time to get the first two instalments of my video footage edited and on KZbin; they're in this Playlist if you'd like to have a look: kzbin.info/aero/PLFsbViNeGSHnW5INzmkndlC3EU_rqI1jq Further instalments will be added as time allows...

There was an ever at York called “The Great Gathering” where they got all the remaining A4s. Afterwards they all went back to their respective museums, hence the title. There is currently no plans to scrap any A4s.

iv'e subscribed to your channel not as a "you subbed me i sub you" but because i have looked at what video's and i have an interest in them, i used to work on the railways and have included pictures of my last signal box in my msfs uk coastline tour video, i also have a big like for steam trains as find the mechanics and the engineering fascinating, but my true like is big engines and on the railway side its the old diesels like the deltics etc partly the powerful sound on motoring but also their non streamlined yet superb distinctive 60s and 70s design, i also was a big fan of madness in the day so quite a bit to interest me in your video line up..keep it up. Regards Keith

As far as I know that building has never been made by either Hornby or Bachmann. It could possibly be a modified version of the waiting room on the opposite side of the track with a scratchbuilt extension. Or just scratchbuilt entirely of course!
