Hi Nero! I know that the video is a little old now, but huge congrats. That was a nice fight, and while from what I saw in the videos you're mostly a striker, your ground game, especially under such a pressure was great.

This should be shotokan not kyokushin sir...
@NeroMMA2 күн бұрын
No it shouldn't since I have no experience in Shotokan but 24 years in Kyokushin.
@SamuelSocceresports2 күн бұрын
@@NeroMMAoh nice. But using some shotokan footworks and stance is going to make your straight punches stronger and more practical.
@SamuelSocceresports2 күн бұрын
@@NeroMMA I was trained from shotokan karate then I started boxing with my friends and from most of my experience the shotokan style of straight punches are way harder and unpredictable to knock someone out with proper technique. And Boxing gave me good ideas to utilize my karate punches work better in combinations and with head movements and improve my hand speed.

Maybe its sports specific but I noticed a week or so before weigh ins some UFC fighters are only on fat and protein while cutting to make weight.
@NeroMMA5 күн бұрын
Yes! A weight cut is very different. Weight cuts are designed to manipulate the amount of water held by the body. And cutting salts and carbohydrates helps with that

Hips are not positioned correctly to create any real power. You must rotate your hip completely otherwise your kick will not be strong and you will be off balance. The foot of the supporting leg needs to be turned with the toes pointing in the opposite direction. Proper technique is crucial when kicking.

if you don’t curl the other leg beforehand then it’s just a lunge, not a bulgarian split squat

You didn't mention about a thing that is probably obvious to you and you're doing it naturally now, what I have seen with many high level fighters ;). But to kick close mawashigeri jodan you need to kick it from the "closed" hip, so your butt is to the back, you're folding a little like a folding knife. You are making more lenght for the leg this way and it's nicely visible when you're kicking the bag.

Its impossible to lose fat in a specific place but. Doing ab workouts grows the abdominal muscles. And even when your doing ab workouts you are burning calories. So yes, doing 100 situps a day will help get visible abs. But under one condition you mentioned, a caloric deficit.
