English dub just isn't as strong as the original Japanese dub in delivering the sadness. I really recommend anyone who's just starting with this series to just stick with the original Japanese. I know it's a preference thing like maybe you just don't like reading subtitles or maybe you're one of those that are having a hard time keeping up with the story by reading subtitles, but hey, the worst thing is you learn something new and develop a new skill when you do that.

LMAO at your mom getting frustrated at the backstory. I get it, girl, me too. I actually liked most of the Sakura and Ino fight and I do get where they were going with the flashbacks. I just wish ONE of them would have one. Frankly, it would have been even more pivotal for Sakura’s growth if Ino beat her in this phase (which honestly should have been the case, Ino was technically one of the strongest Genin besides Shino and Sasuke).

If I recall, Itachi actually could not extinguish the black flames either. Itachi's left eye's ability was Amaterasu and his right eye's ability was Tsukiyomi. Sasuke's left eye's ability is also Amaterasu, but his right eye's ability is "Blaze Release" which allows him to control, manipulate and also extinguish Amaterasu.
