Hypermill is a good cam software, but it's postproces don't friend with users.

The toolpath at 50 seconds in is amazing, which path would be used to create this?! ive used hypermill for years and never used a path like that... 5axis iso top milling maybe(?) amazing stuff.

Hello @bosco_bosco: Thanks a lot for this question. The jobs which ends at 0:50 are 5X Contouring passed thru a 5X Rework (with a circular pattern). The Tool path starts at 0:50 is a 5X ISO Top milling also passed thru a 5X Rework (with a circular pattern) and both jobs linked together with a 5X Linking Job to get a perfect sequence with no needles retracts. The additive buildup portion looks more like a WAAM part than Laser DED.

The additive buildup was made on a Hermle with MPA technology.

@@OPENMIND-TechnologiesMPA is basically a Cold Spray process and it uses a skinny tube-like nozzle. The nozzle in the simulation looks like a Laser-Powder DED process and the actual part in the video has the appearance of a Wire/Arc part.
