Being American but having had exposure to Tommy Emmanuel twice in concert and following Joe Robinson, etc. plus other Aussies, not to mention my next door neighbor of several years, there’s a beautiful cultural approachable side to all I’ve seen. Good on Australia and all the great talent and people who’ve come from down under!

Great interview. One of the best rock autobiographies I’ve ever read. All these groups breakup, and you never really know what happens to the members who had a somewhat lower profile in these bands, who weren’t the « star »... Her book illustrates how difficult it can get to rise above that, and to try to make a name for yourself in that kind of situation.

Gee Australia has some hidden gems in the musical industry. Even with the destructive elements of the Gambling and Pokie machine intrusion into the entertainment industry, which has squashed a lot of creative musical content in this country, there are still venues that provide a space for musicians such as Nat Allison - great to see.

I also found the comparisons with classical composers from Bach to Elgar to Pink Floyd in the final part very enlightening. Thank you also for the honesty that you worked with backing tracks live, because you can't play EVERYTHING with 8 musicians. We were in Berlin and of course I noticed that.
