I just bought mine and when it came in my wires in the middle two panels got stuck and pinched badly. I had to return it as I knew the wire would be damaged. There is some quality control issues and possibly Amazon selling returns as new when they are damaged or defective. $600 you expect that each system should have been opened and closed to make sure the wires go through the grommets. The 2 end panels worked fine but the middle wire would not slide like it should. Also the packing material could have been better, the handle was all scuffed up because there is no padding for the handle. I do wonder if they send out checked models to review?

The only usage con of this unit is the short, unadjustable legs. 32° is where I'm at so leaning them on a couple of camp chairs worked to get them to 32°. Early July, sunny day on south coast South Australia, 11am, output of max 24.3v, 162w - gotta be happy with that. Like most things these days RV/camping nothing from the factory seems to come perfect. Two out of four panels had 10c piece size areas covered in some kind of rubber. Took some rubbing off but eventually got most of it off. Doesn't seem to effect output. The industry needs to get its QC up to scratch.

Hi mate, how do you find the suspension and the 150kg rated leafs for towing your van. I have a ball weight of 300kg on my van and wondering if the 150kg leaf would be enough or go the 300kg leaf. Cheers 🍺
@GetCampingOz10 күн бұрын
@@yendorsadventures2607 yeh mate no issues at all. Our previous van had a ball weight of about 190kg and our new van has a ball weight of around 300kg. It handles it fine. If you were to put a lot of accessories in the back of the Ute and tow, it would be worth going to the 300kg. Hope that helps. Cheers

Nice install. Really cleaned up that area nicely. Just a personal opinion here, that bolt in large fuse you used are troublesome. They blow too easy and it smells horrible. I recommend replacing that with a bussman. Fuse they will fit that socket no need to replace that. Nice work.

I've bought a small sitting stool leg kit with extendable legs and will 3D print clips to join ext legs onto panel legs, but we shouldn't have to do that. This isn't rocket science and the end user shouldn't be doing Renogy's upgrades. I'd pay the extra $50 to get a panel for all latitudes.

I was able to take advantage of a Bunnings deal about 18 months ago: four 4Ah batteries for the price of two. Another consideration for away-from-home use is that you can but a 12 volt fast charger for the One+ batteries.

Is it a requirement to seal the lithium batteries off from inside and vent to outside? Cheers, Mike
@GetCampingOzАй бұрын
The new regulations stipulate that a lithium battery cannot be installed in a habitable living area, such as inside a caravan or camper trailer, unless it is placed in a sealed enclosure, or the installation location is sealed off from the habitable area and the sealed off area is vented to the exterior environment. This rule came into effect late last year and I do not believe it is retrospective meaning any installations prior do not need to comply. Hope that helps

I got one from Bunnings last week and used it for the first time over the weekend.....and the chain slack tension is fully wound out already - the chain "stretched" to max in just under 1 hour. Is this normal or is it just a cheap chain bundled with the chainsaw?

I just wish that the installation videos by people spent more time on the wiring. The hardware is easy to understand and follow. But more info on the wiring package would be great. I think that I have it right up the fuse, as there is only one wire from the fuse to go to the batteries JBR
@GetCampingOzАй бұрын
Thanks for feedback. There isn’t much with the wiring, it’s literally a positive and negative to the battery. Nothing complicated at all. The other end of the loom just plugs into the display. Hope that helps
