Best wishes on your Saturday night services. Might fill a niche sorely needed in Edwardsville.

Very nice and festive. Glad it was on-line since we were unable to attend in person. Thanks!

I wrote a song several years ago from Thomas' perspective. Recently I've asked my worship leader to help me record some songs, and I intentionally left that one out of the songs I wanted him to listen to. I'm not sure why...maybe because the chord progression wasn't to my liking, or that it was weird being a woman singing from a guy's perspective. I don't know. But recently God has laid on my heart that that song is something I need to share with my worship leader and eventually try to record to share with others. This sermon has just reemphasized how important Thomas' journey of doubt and faith was, and how similar we are to him. We need the same thing Thomas did. We need faith. We need grace. We need Jesus to meet us where we are. Great sermon, brother! I love what you had to say about nuances and all of your honesty about your own struggles. I know there were people who needed to hear what you had to say. Thank you for letting God speak through you. BTW, since it's only been a little over a month since my dad died, I can attest that you are SPOT ON . about introverts and grief. I was so exhausted from having people trying to help me (and the guilt that came from being irritated while knowing how good their intentions were) when all I wanted was to be alone to process things in my own time and way. Things got better when I politely asked everyone to give me space.
