@BuildYourOwnAdventure
@BuildYourOwnAdventure Ай бұрын
Sometimes I can’t get the black ring to thread correctly. I usually just get it on there the best I can. They are problematic but your plug should be fine as long as no one pulls the cord. Check the plug to see if it specifies twisting, some may not. If you have pushed the plug all the way in and you still don’t have power, check to be sure the 30A breaker is on in the electrical panel.

So you built it just to make You tube videos? Then because it's finished sold it? Or found something better?
@BuildYourOwnAdventure
@BuildYourOwnAdventure Ай бұрын
Nope. We built it to camp in with our family with hopes of buying a side by side and other toys to carry around. I would honestly say we never finished it. Over the four years of owning and camping in it, we constantly made changes. It was the best part of building our own. The down side to building a toy hauler is having to have furniture and sleeping areas that are portable and not as private for a large family. There were also several RV resorts geared toward families that we wanted to visit that didn’t allow conversions. We ended up buying a bunkhouse camper that’s a better fit for us.

Thanks for your comment! We took many long trips in our Titan and it had plenty of room in the back for our kids. You should have no issues. You did a great job ! We’d have to have a smaller trailer because our pickup is a 23 Tacoma TRD Off Road, double cab with a 6’ bed. The maximum towing capacity is 6,500 #. I don’t want to over work our (my) truck. I plan on driving it until I die. I’m quite sure that my wife will still be using my truck to plow the 5-7 ft of snow off our private road until she dies.

Thank you so much! You should be able to find a cargo trailer to fit your needs. Good video. My first cut was a small door window (thinner walls) and supposed to be 1 3/8" thick. When the window arrived it was 1 1/2 " so I had to make my own trim ring to make up the difference inside. Always check the reviews in the description because people will tell you that "the size is off". I suggest small pilot holes all the way through the wall from the inside in the middle of all four sides of the window, then trace your outside line over painters tape that you put over the holes on the outside. Start on the inside and cut the plywood only with a shorter blade jigsaw first, then on the outside, make a larger pilot hole inside your line and use tins snips to cut the metal. I used a 5-inch blade to clear the whole wall at once (bad idea). I I started from the outside on my first window and no matter how careful I was the blade found its own path on the inside and the trim ring didn't fit. I spent an hour cleaning it up but couldn't do anything about the over cut plywood on the bottom lip of the inside window wall. You could be dead-on the outside line but the blade will curve as you cut. Also, the most important thing before you even start is to make sure the trailer is perfectly level. Don't measure from the ceiling, floor, or wall stud screws. Nothing is even.

Hi! I recently bought a jayco jayflight 232rb and we have the iRV29 radio system. We turned it on the other day to listen to it and it connected to Bluetooth no problem, but we had no sound from speakers. We switched to AM/FM and still no sound from speakers. We turned both zones on and all the way up and still heard nothing. We have already checked wiring, fuses, hard reset on the radio, unplugged all the wires and then plugged them back in, we double checked the wiring diagram in the manual and still nothing. Do you have any other tips or tricks we should try? I've read a lot of forums and people have bought new radios and it still didn't fix the issues. Jayco service center is pretty swamped so I was trying to fix it at home instead of waiting for them. Any insight would be helpful. Thank you! Brooklyn
@BuildYourOwnAdventure
@BuildYourOwnAdventure 2 ай бұрын
Sounds like you've done a great job diagnosing the problem. If others are having problems with new radios, it makes me think that there are wiring issues between the speakers and radio. Could be a short in one of the wires that would cause the internal amp to short out and not produce sound. Possibly a screw/nail through a wire?? My next step would be connecting a speaker directly to each set of speaker wires coming out of the radio. This would require cutting your speaker wires going into the radio. It would eliminate any wiring issues between the radio and the speakers. Be sure not to cut your wires too close to the wiring harness so you can splice them back together once you have found the problem.

@BuildYourOwnAdventure
@BuildYourOwnAdventure 2 ай бұрын
That is tough to answer without knowing the ratings for each appliance. Just an average 8000 btu AC uses somewhere in the range of 2500 watts. You should be able to find how many watts your refrigerator uses on the label. It's going to use more when the compressor turns on and then level out at a lower wattage. This generator has a running wattage of just over 3500 watts. Your TV and wifi shouldn't use much, but they will add to the draw. Depending on the fridge size, I think it can do it, but you may be close to the overload point.
