Just joined my first pve server and man it was a blast! Played the map called anizay. After 10 minutes of struggling to figure out how to get a weapon I was good lmao. Had a crew within minutes that I had an amazing time with

How do you know what server is PvE?? Ive been looking and im accidentally Getting a ton of mods for PvP maps and they do not say whether its pvp or not.

@@ducktales1727 some of em say in the title if they’re PvP or PvE. From what I found if you can equip two primary weapons it’s probably a PvE server.

It is possible that your truck just despawned : ( "Garbage collector" on server deletes dead bodies, dropped items and unoccupied vehicles after some time of inactivity - 10 minutes or so.

@ look for a PvE server, most of the ppl in there are willing to help. There’s an insane amount of button binds so look through those before you go in. Or just load into a main base area where its safe to get familiar with the controls. There is a training mode but I’ve never tried it, I just jumped straight in

Have you played combat ops mode ? I tried it solo and it is very hard, although it would probably be easier if I were not such a new player. Pretty cool there is a mode that you can do solo though I think.

@@johnnymontana21 Combat Ops is vanilla. There is CO Arland, with 3 objectives + extraction, and CO Everon with much more objectives. Both can be played solo or as coop vs AI on server. But CO Everon is probably much harder as solo - you play as resistance guerrila and you cannot save your loadout. You have to loot weapons from enemies or use limited supply of weapons in safe houses.

What was the deal with the morphine and epipen situation there? Can you overdose or something?

@@HyperHyena88 so in that server if you give someone who’s unconscious morphine they’ll stay unconscious waaay longer, I think it took my buddy like 10 minutes to wake up, give epi when they’re uncon and morphine when they’re up and moving.

I just got this a week ago, I have 10 or so hours playing the game. Most of that is in training. I played a couple servers with real people and I iked the PVE servers better so far. I have 1 question, is it bad if you hit respawn instead of waiting to get healed like it is in squad? Sometimes noone comes and sometimes somebody is on you right away. I guess my question is does it cost you points if you hit respawn? Keep up the arma videos man, loving them.

@@HyperHyena88 thanks. So I’m at 100ish hours and I’m still learning, and if someone knows more feel free to chime in. From what I understand if you spawn at the main base, the very first base your team has at the start of the game, it essentially costs nothing because the main base continuously spawns supplies, it cost supplies to spawn. How much supplies depends on your load out. If you spawn at a forward base those supplies will need to be replenished via supply truck. If you can’t spawn at a base your team controls that means there isn’t enough supplies. So the only penalty for respawning is a longer timer for your next spawn. Also if a server uses the Bacon Loadout Editor mod, use that to build your kit because that doesn’t use supplies.

@@EXCELLERENT so I’ve played a little bit if Squad and I think Arma is more fun, at least for me. Very dynamic, you find yourself in all sorts of varying encounters and if you don’t like PvP there is a lot of PvE servers you can join, there also an ever growing number of mods that can change the game drastically. I love it

@@garryrobinson5695 it looks like it was supposed to release to PS5 this month. It looks like Sony is giving them a hard time about MOD support, is when it does finally come to PS5 it may be vanilla only for a while.

@ Try to be patient lol, it’s at least in the works. I come across a lot of people in the servers that play on controller, the buttons seem to be mapped pretty well.
