Seems like FMW is gone in 23c version of Veridata. That means simpler installation and less moving parts.

If moving from Classic to MA, what is the advantage to using curl commands to create/stop/start processes over obey files? They run just as quickly. Is obey functionality going away in 23ai? Its still there in 21c.

Hi, thanks for this video. We have Oracle GoldenGate Classic in HUB Architeture hosted on a AWS EC2. The DB source and target are Oracle Databases. We would like to migrate to OGG Microservices High avalability in HUB Architecture with a managed Docker hosted on AWS ECS (Elastic Container Service). We would like to use AWS EFS (Elastic File system) and not Oracle ACFS for the high availability to store shared storage files (deployment, trail files, parameter files, configuration files, etc ...). Is this archietcture can be supported ? Is AWS EFS is supported to store shared files (trail files, parameter files, etc ...) ? Thanks on advance for the answer. Regards,

Parabéns pelo vídeo, você conseguiu explicar os principais passos do processo de replicação de dados. Estou com um cenário em que tenho uma Azure SQL e preciso trazer para um SQL na OCI. Você já realizou esse tipo de migração??
@jubs160786 Жыл бұрын
oi Flávio, td bem? os passos sao praticamente os mesmos - vc so precisa mudar o tipo de "deployment", ao inves de selecionar Oracle Database, seleciona pra SQL server.

Hi, this demo is very helpful. Just need a clarification. Does this mean that from GoldenGate for Big Data 21.4 onwards there is no need for manual steps for stage to merge part ? In the Replicat parameter file the table mentioned in the mapping on target (snowflake) side, does it need to be the normal base table on snowflake or stage table ?

Is there a demo of extract complete PDB from CDB1 to CDB2 ?
@jubs160786 Жыл бұрын
hello David, not yet but its very similar to this video, you just have to create the extracts as usual, an additional connection to the second PDB in CDB2 and in the replicat configuration file do the correct mapping, would be something like this : MAP PDB1.SCHEMA1.TABLE_NAME1, TARGET PDB2.SCHEMA2.TABLE_NAME2;

Thanks for sharing, is HUB just used to collect trail files from different source
@oraclegoldengate Жыл бұрын
Hi Mayank, the GG Hub is a single install location for many Extract and Replicat processes as well as a single location to collect the trail files. Since the trail is simply stored on a file system, the actual underlying storage system you connect with your Hub server is up to you. It could be a single drive, RAID, network and/or distributed... in HA configurations GG is often used with ACFS or DBFS. Simple configurations may just use a local drive. One major benefit of a Hub architecture is that you don't need to Distribute or Receive trail across the network, so the Extract and Replicat may be configured to read/write from the same Trails.

It would be helpful if you gave more information on how the vulcan.key and vulcan.cert were created. Would also like to know if its possible to convert self_signed to use CA? What version will allow you to import a trusted ca cert via the web interface?
