This deck could've had 1-2 Excadrill, which does 180 damage for 3 energies. It does do 50 damage to itself, though. Would make the Drillburs not just waste space on the bench, though.

I love how you forgot about Espathra's ability making it impossible for Gholdengo to attack for one turn and were confused when he attached a second metal. You were still confused when he didn't attach to Wyrdeer (he would have needed 4 energy to attack). I often see the same mistake by my opponents when I play Espa. It has to be the most easily forgotten ability in the game.

I combined this with Gengar ex (and pidgeot ex) so that I can disrupt in two different ways, the deck I made is just a giant F U to zard and pult. I also put Rabsca to make myself immune to all sniping.

I won a tournament with garchomp ex. Being able to attack with 1 energy as well as irida being able to evolve it instantly, it is really consistent

Did you prize both Drilbur in the first game? Feel like getting the Drilbur out is a must because you put energy in discard. Including exadrill would be good too as an extra one prize attacker

Lugia is fragile against charzard as long as they know what the are doing

I would get rid of switch and add the single prize Gengar with Night Gate. It can be a backup attacker as well and you don't have to worry about searching for a switch when you need it. I also run a 1/1 of Dark Lokix as a single-prize attacker for late game. My son runs a 2/2 line of the new Unfeazant with gapejaw for ultimate annoyance.

Lugia? More like Lugi-duh! Using this sort of deck is a no brainer!

I also play this deck and have been on the long painful quest to fix it's bricking and slow setup. . Lugia NEEDS 4 lugia v to help ensure that the probabilities are in your favor for having a lugia in your opening hand. Because if lugia doesn't setup by turn 2 or 3 at the latest the game is going to be rough unless your opponent is moving slow. If you can setup by turn 2 you can beat turbo hands. It's also a mistake not to play 4 cinccino as it's your main attacker. Lugia is best as a single prize list and not having lugia as a liability as much as possible. Also the bare minimum energy is 17 and honestly probably 18. Just sucks cause lugia bricks so much and adding more energy is just going to increase those bricking odds. In matches where you play against high HP pokemon like zard you start to struggle to get energy late game since it takes 5 energy to knock out 1 zard. The other option is to play 1 devolution to deduce the number of energy needed but it makes the prize trade worse. Need to go after that pigeon ex and 1 shot it to the rotom/lumineon and then 1 zard for gg's. Also, same comment about lumineon. It's such a liability in a deck where it's best to have all single prizers. I was also SOOOO sick of live only giving me lumineon as the only starter so I took lumineon out for and used the space for more great balls, aroma's and now even mesagoza's trying to maximize that first and second turn setup. Though there is a positive for having lumina and it's to get Jacq to ultra ball the 2 arches away as soon as possible. I think lugia is too inconsistent to be great. But It will improve after crimson haze. Although lugia is better with single prize attacker because the prize trade is WAY better and almost always beats zard if its sets up fast, there is a 2 prizer that will work great in lugia in haze called ursaluna blood moon and also the ace spec energy. The Japanese lists are using these cards and winning. But there are also 2 other ace specs coming out that may make lugia better... legacy energy and secret box.

Have you considered using the Run Away Draw Dudunsparce? Could run that evo line (free retreat dunsparce and Dudunsparce) and it would give you a draw engine of some kind. I think getting it to fit would be difficult tho and you'd have to sacrifice something. Really cool deck and I want to make my own Summoning Gate deck and this gives a good base to work off of, thanks!
