Classic humour and good that they got it. In Humphrey’s home country Aus that would never go down well because the media is gone irreversibly woke. At the end much if the media was anti-Humphrey, one of Aus greatest ever and successful comedic talents.

What an absolute legend. And what a brilliant way to prick that bubble, so to speak.

As a joke, it's absolutely perfect tongue in cheek humour. He seems to be calling out the ridiculous nature of "needing" to proclaim one's sexuality and the shower of support and lauding for supposed bravery that comes with the almost ritualistic overexposure of one's personal life, the clear social contractual obligation of confessional transparency that is always either rewarded or revolted. Being a celebrity and the almost psychotic play pretend about the tilted, vain values prescribed to maintaining favour over the masses that feed your ego through adoration is a sick bit of co-dependency that's absolutely turning this already hellscape of a world into an absolute weird-mageddon.

I wish that woman would close her mouth. I'm sick of seeing her tongue, especially on Bake off. It's disgusting.

To come up with this off-the-cuff shows the absolute level and quality Barry Humphries achieved. Genius and legend are thrown around but he was a legendary genius of comedy. RIP.

Imagine creating content by just aiming a camera and filming Dame Edna ramble on. It’s funnier than any prepared bit. Incredible wit and talent.
