When I was 11, I wrote to multiple Muppeteers and the late Carroll Spinney (the original Big Bird and Oscar the grouch) responded to me in the biggest way I could think of. He sent me a stack of autographs, postcards, thank you letters and illustrations he did. Steve Whitmire (who did characters such as Rizzo the rat and Wembley Fraggle and took over Kermit and Ernie after Jim Henson's death) sent me a thank you letter and an autographed picture of Kermit the frog. R.I.P. Caroll Spinney (1933-2019).

I know I'm stating the obvious, but it's worth bearing in mind that celebraties receive a LOT of mail. Patience is key, both when composing the letter and when awaiting a response. Don't rush the letter, keep it to the point and neat! Don't be disheartened if you don't receive a reply as soon as you may expect. I received replies months later. It's a great feeling to get a reply, however please remember that they may be unable to reply based on the quantity of mail they get from all over the world. They will also be unlikely to get time to read every letter received

Well I also has hobby autograph collector like you. I even awarded as most autograph collector of world famous people in my country Indonesia by national record holder museum. Keep doing your best and hope someday we can meet and talk about our hobby. Ciao!

Is there a way to know if they don't accept fan mail? What if some addresses are scams? You get the idea. Maybe twitter wirks better.

ur so lucky, idk how old u are but i assume ur a little older then me cuz u mention getting stuff from 2013 and i was little then, i have some signed stuff but i hope to have a collection like urs one day
