Great work in regeneration of the island .To have it overgrown by bramble is going to deprive the flowers and grasses of space and bramble is an aggressive invasive plant .I'd love to know how these tanks fill with water .The rivers we take for granted in mainland Ireland ,but none on this island . Brilliant work 👏👏👏👏🇨🇮

But you are making a huge misunderstanding about biodiversity - varied habitats. The brush that you keep removing is home to a variety of species, the plants and the associated animals and insects. You can't have just grazed pasture if you want biodiversity. Eire is lacking its native forests, and "undergrowth" is itself a major habitat that supports biodiversity. Birds need the shelter and the berries that hedges and brush yield, along with a long list of animals. Over focus on grassland is how Eire lost its biodiversity in the first place. Great to see Eire addressing its needs, and to hear Gaeilge spoken, but you've made a big mistake by misunderstanding what biodiversity comes from, and forgetting the historic forests of Eire and the biodiversity that was lost there.
