Een fantastische versie van koor en orkest. Heb dit vroeger in NL gezongen. In Spanje zingen we andere klassieke muziek. Zarzuela's e.a.

Genialidad Mozartiana.

Dies Irae is Latin for “Day of Wrath”. This song is supposed to give an idea on how God will judge those who believe in Christ and unbelievers. Repent before it’s too late. Believe in the Lord Jesus to be saved from eternal judgement.

A lot of Handel's music has a really lively rhythm that makes you want to dance. It is definitely baroque and roll. I am glad he is enjoying himself. Music is joy and I hate stuffiness in the classical music world.

Bellissimo Olga! The difference between Misliveček, Gretri, Sarti, Boccherini, Chimarosa, Soler, Paizelo,..., Salieri and Mozart is that Misliveček, Gretri, Bocherini, Chimarosa, Sarti, Soler, Paizelo,..., Salieri's operas were - original - for - contemporaries. For contemporaries Mozart was "a fixer of other people's notes" (Amadeus says this several times in the letters he wrote to his father Leopold). The three-act Libretto for the opera (l’Olympiade) was originally compos’d by Domenico Trapassi (aka Metastasio the Viennese court poet in 1733 for Caldara (the court composer resident at Vienna) to celebrate the birth-day of Princess Elizabeth Cristina of Brunswick-Woelfenbuettel...and was later set to music over 70 times (between 1733-1825) by such composers as Vivaldi (1734) Pergolesi (1735), Galuppi (1748), Traetta (1748), Manfredini (1762), Sacchini (1763), Fischietti (1763), Thomas Arne (1765), Davide Perez (1766), Myslivecek (1778), Cherubini (1783), Sarti (1784), Cimarosa (1784), Paisiello (1786), Johann Frideric Reichardt (1791), Beethoven set a Duet from l’Olympiade in 1803 (‘ne giorni tuoi...’), Johann Nepomuk Poissl (1815) & Donizetti (1817) to name only the most notable settings..
