Hey Rob, it's great to see you out with the mirage pro again, you inspired me to get one. Like you I love mine, it's a fricking beast! I've had a few along the way, a Helm 2,a northern lite 2 but I prefer the Vango. That it only cost me £80 is insane. My biggest gripe is that Vango don't make a footprint, so I made my own out of Tyvek. The venting isn't great either but that's what lager was invented for! Great video BTW, keep it up 👍👍👍👏👏

talk about a brand stobb rob i have just bought two patagonia high loft goose dwn jacket hoodies and every time i look at them im thinking all just to use on a cold night sitting in your tent but yes mate they our a godsend when its cold mate and yes luv your rab but im like you i wanted something that you don,t see much and are well the same coats near anough but i luv them great video mate ones again

Interesting video. I personally like to pitch up my 3x3 DD tarp over my tent using a couple of 1.7m carbon fibre telescopic fishing landing net rods I got from AliExpress and some guy lines. I get loads of extra protection from the rain out from the front of my tent.

Really skillful night shots there Rob about 2/3 the way thru the video

The wind sock on your lav mic did a great job of knocking down most of the wind noise. I also find most of us KZbinrs spend most of our time walking around talking to ourselves. If we didn't have a camera in front of our faces, people would for sure think we're a bit off. For me, the worst part would come during editing, after a while, I got sick of seeing my own face and would try to only be in the frame at the beginning and end of the videos. As a brewer, I definitely liked the idea of the beers to go along with your cigar, but I wouldn't be doing a cigar inside the tent. That would be a recipe for disaster. I'm thinking strip magnets for your plastic window. It might be tough getting them all the way to the bottom, but I'm sure you could get them about 2/3 of the way down.

Good effort mate, and I'm liking the tidy porch. Horrid music but that's a personal taste issue (mine probably, same as I'm unsure about the Hamas look from 26:00 on). Your tent reminds me of my Terra Nova Voyager, one of the Grand Designs - still have it but can't justify the carried weight. Accurate summary of the standard wildcamp video - I call it the 'Messner Format' although I doubt he invented it. However, there are other possibilities although most of them involve some walking unfortunately - I mean, more than a mile or two from the car and perhaps without that crate of beer on your back. Alternatively, some just wait for a storm warning and do the usual video but hopefully the weather means you/your equipment fails and you bail out and get hundreds of supportive comments. Nothing wrong with your personality son - keep at it!

just tuned in an new vid up by Robology woooohooo yusss, i'm still watching it (paused for a minute so i can be first to comment lol) You've got personality overload Rob, which is one of the reasons I follow your channel, and you know what you're talking about with gear and hiking ..... almost like a reference book haha If ya gear hasn't got marks, dirt, or dents on it, you're not using it very much, and certainly not hard use lol ...... one of the ways I tell if a dude is genuine, or just a blowhard book reader, and video watching "wanna be" Like if I see stainless cups, plates, billies without scratches or the rainbow effect from over heating, same with alloy without the dents and soot blackened. Or rifles without dents, and scratches in the stock Haha it's the little hiccups with the commentary that make your vids so real, and less like a documentary ...... loved this one too mate Awww yeah, the music was good but too loud lol
