What do you call this A CHILD ABUSE or A DISCRIMINATION . My youngest son with autism was hit by A BIG American Airlines stewardess. He was very young at the time, so anxious on the plan he pushed twice the calling button to ask when will be landing. A big African American stewardess came turned of the called button with her bid ring hit my son chin. Saw him with big brushes crying I told her why did you hit him, she denied and respond you need to stop him calling me. I respond discretely , my son has autism and he is very anxious and scarred . She walked away with out even giving me the chance to continue the rest of my conversation or even answer kindly a little boy reassuring him . I ve been told to asked to speak to her supervisor , who mentioned I ve to speak w/ the captain on board he told me to speak to the captain from that no one did a think about it. At our lending the Philadelphia police was at the airplane 's door , escorted us w/ bunch of questionnaires we have been for hours answering . With no sympathy for two autistic children for a 9 hrs plan different police continued to tortured us with questions and that was it til today. My son is traumatize to travel to these days and No one helped us, no one stood up on our side. I published on FB and on American Airlines 's FB page / it has been erased every time I published it .My two sons with autism are terrified of traveling now than before . We will never forget that day, or The stewardess 's name, even her pix is in our photo album for ever.

Hi I am sorry you had this experience. I am on the spectrum myself and I am working with the ADA at the airport in Atlanta along with working with a team of members from Delta. One of the things we are trying to push for is training flight crews to be more accommodating. Also, if you have a chance, I would like to see your story so I can share that with other ADA members. Also, maybe publish your story on youtube?
