Jeg må si at jeg har lest boka til Torkel Brekke og dessverre kjenner igjen trender fra enkelte forrlesere vi har hatt på universitetet mitt, både i deler av historie faget og i fag som ikke har hatt noen relevans til Midtøsten overhodet. Jeg kjenner meg også igjen ift mediekritikken Brekke kommer med. Og argumentene til Venstresiden. Jeg fikk også en aha-opplevelse utav å lese boka. Er blitt narret trill rundt av the Interceipt og the Guardian, LO osv men skjønte aldri hvor ideen om at "sionisme er rasisme" kom fra. Den stemte ikke med bildet jeg ble gitt av Israel i barndommen nemlig. Så leste jeg om Durban-konferansene og da gikk lyset opp for meg. Jeg hadde ikke fått med meg dette, mediene la liten vekt på det. Men for meg forklarer det alt, også dreiningen enkelte humanitære organisasjoner har tatt og splittelsen i SOS rasisme og Antirasistisk senter og hvorfor de er blitt så arge på jødiske medborgere. Folk flest får ikke med seg dette og skjønner ikke, tror jeg, hva det er som egentlig skjer. Så stor takk skal dere ha.

Hold fast ved Jesus Kristus, be for alt Guds folk, Israel, og om fortsatt vekkelse i inn og utland. Vi er vel mer og mindre lost halve Norge snart. I tillegg til denne podkasten burde Torkel Brekke "Ingen er uskyldig" være pensum fra ungdomsskolen av. Og "screams before silence" må vises i norske medier. Det er medienes fordømte plikt å ikke unnaholde info vi trenger om terror og angrep mot en nasjon, vi har rett på denne informasjonen. Og om det er noen sin feil så er det nok heller skylden til oss som ikke har villet forstå eller høre og er blitt lurt til å tro på en fredsprosess som ikke hadde noen respekt for realitetene Israel står overfor - til og med midt i en krig, noe som er feil. Så tror vi JVP har hele løsningen sesam sesam...uten å ha undersøkt hva de står for. Er det ok å lese Jerusalem Post og ikke bare Haaretz?

Har dei seinere åra innsett at antisemittismen er djup i Noreg. Ikkje minst fordi ein i 1814 måtte ha ein ekslusjonsparagraf mot jødar når det likevel ikkje fantes jødar i riket. At dette kan henge saman med den kristne kyrkja har eg aldri tenkt på. (Seier sikkert litt om meg, men sånn er det.)

It's madness that people look everywhere else but the military when deciding what to think about war. Experts who has been in Gaza has stories to tell, but no one seems to listen. I'm glad Conricus is joining the debate to shine light on what is actually going on. John Spencer should also be mentioned as someone who understands this war and praises IDF for how they handle it.

Lying on numbers is antisemitic. This was obvious when Hamas blew up the hospital accusing Israel of having done it and giving a huge number of casualties; then, when it was discovered that Hamas blew up the hospital, they lowered the number of casualties... This is antisemitic and anti-Israel. Lying on the numbers to put the blame on Israel and the jews....

Btw. Speaking of his hope for there to be descent in Gaza. We all thought Israel will not get one single vote in the Eurovision Song Contest the other week. Then the Israeli entry came in second in the popular vote. Just saying I for one is silent about my views about Israel and Gaza. Why? I know my friends, workmates and children totally buy the propaganda and suddenly think Israel is evil. The discussions on the topic lead absolutely nowhere. No killing though. Yet. Compare saying JK Rowling makes sense on the trans issue. Yet how many ordinary people intuitively know the obvious. Like that the Israeli army is doing its best to be decent to civilians… So maybe there are people that trust the testimony of their own two eyes and instincts. In Gaza too.

Connie, I am afraid you are repeating malicious propaganda, or in other words blood libels. Allow me to clarify: First, IDF is an army that strictly adheres to laws which are upheld by a robust justice system. Soldiers, no matter their personal opinions, cannot simply defy their legal orders and commit atrocities. If a soldier intentionally did such a thing as you describe, he would be prosecuted and punished. Listen to what Jonathan said. Second, The circumstances surrounding that poor girl are still unclear, and will probably remain so. If she was a victim of Israel, it was most certainly unintentional. Plenty of footage showing how IDF routinely aborts missions when kids are identified. Bear in mind that Hamas often get children killed, intentionally (like literally wrapping them around combatants) or by accident (like failed launces, even from humanitarian zones). Don't believe rubbish conspiracy without proof. Third, whilst the hostages are indeed being starved, as well as tortured and executed, the Gazans are not. Despite the vile headlines obsessing over "starvation"", which started even begore the IDF entered Gaza, Israel facilitates - as required by international law - the provisions of everything: food, water, fuel, medical supply. In excess. Of course, due to Hamas stealing, killing and profiting, distribution of aid inside Gaza is problematic. That's not Israel's fault. By the way, try imagine how you would feel about feeding the very people who killed your friends or family members. Fourth, you are right about one thing, which is the horrible trauma Israeli soldiers, civilians, families and children will carry with them. The alternative, however, is be killed by the many bloodthirsty enemies surrounding this tiny country like a ring of fire.

Thank you Jonathan your words are amazing! You have explained in no uncertain terms the Jewish plight in this conflict and the dangers we Israelis face on a daily basis. Not only are we dealing with an evil entity intent on our destruction, but we also have to face a battle on two fronts. The war of lies that Hamas is so prolific and successful at and the terror they are inflicting on Israel and its own people. There are so many examples of the horrific acts the Islamic people have subjugated its people to, but the world chooses to forget and cherish the moments a juicy narrative of how evil the Jews are, and what means should be used to destroy them. It is simply shameful!
