Michael Lee and Porl Thompson rounded out this tour. What performances! What a great sound all around! Truly wish I could have seen this live!

Incredible version. The best part is the "wow" guy at the end. Well, ok, it wasn't the best part, but he conveyed the emotion I had when I saw them perform this live.

Sorry for the audio and video being slightly out of sync. This show was captured from the NPR video broadcast and I didn't realize there was a problem with the file. Hope you all can still enjoy it! It was a fantastic show!

great video,as a drummer myself I've prefer Jason Bonham over the late Michael Lee.But..in the context of Zeppelin music being played post Bonzo,my vote goes with Lee..just a better "feel" ! Jason B. has always felt more technical to me.just my opinion folks, dont freak out on me..LOl..XOXO

@muglasduglas - Thanks for kind words!! I started with the 3/4 ostinato years ago, inspired by Neil Peart's work with it and yes, Max Roach. Peart began incorporating it in his solo in the mid 90's and it has evolved into a monster where he is completely free to go with his hands wherever he wants on top of the 3/4 pulse. It was tough at the beginning so I suggest just starting out with snare work over it and go from there. I love to use it to get the limbs working. I will post more soon!

I think this tour was wonderful. Wonderful to see and hear Page and plant and Their band which was not intended to be Zeppelin. Just to see and hear them was worth the price of admission. I heard say that this tour was thrown together quick and Jimmie didn't have enough time to go over the old stuff. Hence Jimmie not playing the solos on some of the tunes. I know if I was Jimmie I wouldn't want to struggle through a solo i wasn't sure about.

@FcBarcaman1193 Yes. I agree. I also know that Coldplay uses tracks from their recordings 2 'enhance' their shows. And I have read on their fan sites that today's Coldplay fan doesn't care. They want it 2 be awesome (whatever that means to them). I saw The Modern Jazz Quartet 20 years ago in Las Vegas - no microphones. Everyone had to adjust to the sound and listen harder in the auditorium, but it was phenomenal. Check out 'When Giants Ruled The Earth'. Good read. It's on audio book, too.

@WayneYonke But still he's JIMMY PAGE , he doesn't need a second guitarist

@FcBarcaman1193 lazy? can't play it as clean as fans would expect? not wanting to be judged? who knows, right? Billy joel used to have someone sing high parts for him in the 80's in concert.
