So is this diner going to be moving from state to state? Or was this just a one time promotion?

It was just a one time thing - Cheez-it is trying to reinvent itself after shifting from Kellogg to Kellanova. I’m sure they will have other things such as the Taco Bell Big Cheez-it collab. (Which didn’t do well on the market from what I saw!)

I am 57. I have stayed at mostly two places in the Wildwoods since 1971. The Crusader and the Carribean. I have stayed at around 8 different places in total in the Wildwoods since 1971. I have visited the Wildwoods about 62 times with the Crusader being not only the place that I stayed at the most but also my favorite even today. My only complaint about the island is the excessive condo building which is a big reason why so many Doo Wop motels are now gone. I miss those days when a 10 year old kid could play shuffle board, swim in a pool and walk on to the boardwalk with a bud or two and without parents on vacation with you 24/7. Great video!

Thx so much! Yeah it’s actually sad the redevelopment that is happening across most of the NJ shore areas- it’s becoming more Miami-esque…have you seen Long Branch lately? It’s literally become the Miami of NJ - I think I should probably do a video on that. Also, I did visit the wildwood boardwalk the weekend after Memorial Day this year and I decided not to record it. It gave me Atlantic City vibes and ppl just don’t seem that “happy” I guess. The boardwalk shops also kind of threw me off with a lot of them being “smoke/vape” shops. I think it’s not heading in a good direction. Again, thanks for your comment and thanks for watching!

Thanks for watching! Yeah I’ve been putting this explore off for a while - I thought maybe it wasn’t as cool as some of the pics I’ve seen on IG but it was actually really awesome. Hard to get to the car tho - the entire place was flooded and I heard that it usually is always flooded! Managed to find the car and I also found a building with stairs leading to nowhere almost as if they didn’t finish that one. It was pretty cool! Xoxoxo

The Doo-Wop Experience used to be a diner. I ate dinner there once in 1988 or 89. It was on Ocean Av near The Caribbean and was disassembled, moved and put back together. I remember seeing somewhere that it was constructed in 1962.

Wow! That’s a really neat memory! Wildwood used to be amazing and it still is in many ways. Unfortunately they have some issues with the younger crowd and some people think it’s not heading in a good direction. This is why I’m attempting to document and preserve a lot of the retro stuff!

Never heard of this place of course. I'm impressed at how you discover these places to explore my favorite explorer! ☺That's amazing that they build something without a septic system in mind, but then it was a different time and century! Truly amazed also at how graffiti finds it's way in some of the most interesting and out of the way places 😲. The array of colors are cool though. My hobbies are tax evasion was funny! 😂🤣😂. I like the reflections off the muddy waters. I'd be taking pics of that for sure. Also like how they plants start to become a part of the structure over time. That's definitely an old car. Maybe from the late 60's/early 70's maybe seeing the engine and the room inside the hood. Thanks once again for sharing. You're AWESOME!!!💯❤❤❤

Yes I meant fully stocked almost as if no one goes there! (I think probably they get the most action in the summer when vacationers arrive!) but yes of course I agree it it a very bad sign!! But it also means they keep ordering the stock, so someone has to be buying it….however someone did make a comment here saying they heard this location may also be downgrading or looking to lease our part of the store, similar to the Miami location! I don’t think it’s looking too good for this “last” full Kmart honestly. I plan on visiting again mid-summer when they have alot of tourists.

Yeah the Long Island Kmart was very pricey….…From what I remember when I was younger, Kmart here in NJ at least, was always more expensive in certain departments compared to its competitors at the time. I honestly don’t even recall my parents shopping at Kmart very often. @@explore.evermore There are a couple of areas wide enough to pull over. You will easily see the steam in the winter. The steam is located where the cliffs start to diverge away from the road. The vents are about 50 feet (15m) from the road. The steam is only located near this small section of road. There are no more steam areas north nor south of this area. I checked with thermal imaging. There are also a couple more steaming vents at the top of the cliff including a steaming pipe. Just a mile and a half to the east near the halfway point between Big Mine Run Rd and Raven Run there is another underground fire. It is not known if it is an extension of the Centralia fire or a completely new one.
