it is a model for deformation texture simulation CP, there is no local information like with fem. It is faster you can have much more grains.

The reason why people avoid the powerful software to look for alternative is because there is no sound. Even if you do not understand English, look for someone who understands English and do voice overlaid. Then you will see a massive patronage of this software . Do this and thank me later .

When I click the start button, I got this message: "Error: 'Fortran_VPSC_EBSD.exe' is not an internal or external command, nor is it a runnable program". I have re-install Atex, but it doesn't work.

Check if the file Fortran_VPSC_EBSD.exe is present in the install directory of ATEX (in folder "vpsc"), if yes execute ATEX "as administrator", you antivirus probably block the execution

There are the two books of Bob Hé (2010) and (2018) "Two-dimensional X-ray Diffraction", you can easily find them in google scholar

Click on "import data" -> XRD profile -> choose de manufacturer -> choose the file format if your format is not available, send us your files at [email protected]

Is it possible to import EBSD data as BMP file?

yes it is, open your map, go to "patterns tab", then import pattern, then chose lem3 or Oxford button, chose BMP, and click on one of your patterns, it has to be named X_Y, coordinates of the patterns in the map (in pixels), it is already the case for oxford patterns, if you have trouble, contact us.
