I love the cyborgian feel. Definitely an industrial sounding resonance, but with a familiar organic attack.

Einzigartig! Vor allem die zarte akustische Brillianz der durch die feine Kette erzeugten Klänge überzeugt mich. 👌

I love thats just an enormous metal wedge with a neck and strings sticking out of it. the capacity for low-tone resonance is gargantuan

Иногда в старых домах такой звук издают такие же старые водопроводные трубы.😊 Ну или, как вариант, эти звуки подойдут для озвучки фантастического фильма на космические темы. Они хорошо передадут всю таинственность происходящего.😮😊

Seems simple enough to make for someone who knows how to weld stainless steel. No complex curves to have to bend and could be made from recycled materials.

I can make the same sounds on my double bass, if I take full metal strings. On classical strings a double bass sounds warmer. What you hear here is also the result of how it is recorded.

so go for it, and send me a result…

@@DomenicoMelchiorre great and smart reply. I have to back out of this as I don't have full metal strings and off course it will never sound exactly the same. And I am all for experimenting and building unusual instruments! Good luck!
@MTG_MusicАй бұрын
I think a large portion of the sound is the fact that it's basically a big plate reverb (which a traditional double bass is not)

It seems the resonating chamber is a giant triangular prism made of metal. From its sounds it is clearly not “just” anything though! I want one haha!
@mi85art2 ай бұрын
@paulflute Not even thát odd, if you keep the balalaika bass in mind. The echo chamber is a big plus. Then again, playability might be an even bigger no…
