and the belly area for women shouldn't have metal or steel hit it, a woman's belly is designed a little bit softer, not on the outside, but internal organs. so always wear a belt when lifting heavy.

not bad, its pretty decent, next time wear a weightlifting belt to protect your belly, and it will also protect your belly button ring. I being a trainer of women as well, always advise them to wear a weightlifting belt when working out, the reason being a woman's belly is designed for children. and for that reason should always be protected whenever possible especially when doing weightlifting. for yoga and running it won't matter, but weightlifting, and load on body, yes.
