Amazing! I can’t believe you have this!🥹🥲 I was there (shouting “Adeline” between each encore, but Elliott said no, it was too sad). He really gave it his all that night. Thank you for sharing this special time capsule! ❤

He literally produced zero bad songs. Every single thing that came out of his mind was a total banger. What a life.

The interviewer is equating a record’s budget with its quality. I can see why Elliott got annoyed with interviews.

this is what it feels when the sun comes up after an awful day, the echos of yesterday still linger but it burns to know there is something new infront of you. A positive reverberance of your past experiences bringing you to where you are and the terror you fought along the way. God Bless us all and God Bless elliott.

There's a bit of I Am the Walrus in the music, interesting to see how much he changed the lyrics.

Play the start of I Am the Walrus then play this till the lyrics come in. Very similar rythym and keyboard sound. There's Beatles all through Elliott's music. @claudiomargheri2087

Read a story where Michael Stipe went to one of Elliotts shows around this time and had to leave during because the audience wouldn't stop talking. Sad. But hey, thanks for sharing!

Saw him many times solo acoustic and with a band. I was lucky to see the Heatmiser farewell show. Me and my friend were headed to OMSI to see a laser light show...we were Metallica...bullshit! So we just happened over to the Satyricon and walked into some live music. It just happened that Heatmiser was headlining that night with their farewell show. Damn, I miss 90s Portland and the smell of the block-long brick Henry Weinhards brewery wafting in the air outside. $5 60 Ounce pitchers of Henry's were the best there.

i know i’m in the minority here, but i don’t think this was a bad interview. sure the “interrogation” feel is off-putting especially for most americans. we are generally used to the warm-fuzzy interviews. this felt like a cultural division to me. the interviewer directed most of his questions to where elliott thought his music/career was going (like if you had all the money in the world for a record what would it be, are you looking for commercial success/airplay, etc.). i think ES was very well spoken and true to himself. sure the interviewer probably didn’t know ES’s music enough to understand him, but anyone that listens to ES’s music in chronological order can see how his music evolved - with the “polishing” of his sound. and ES was spot on with the internet/media control taking place today. i enjoyed this
