I think I'll try seeing if it can outgrow my goldfish chewing it up. I have 8 goldfish in a 75-gallon tank with a back wall of Amazon swords and foreground anubius. The middle swords are left alone, but the ones i the corners are almost gone. I was planting some Vallisneria in the gaps which seems to be doing okay, but I'd like more variety. My fantails leave the plants alone, but the shubunkins can be pests. When floating plants from other aquariums get too dense, I give them some as a snack and some of the fish like to drag them to the bottom by their roots as a game.

i'm having trouble keeping the larvae a lil bit there was some grime that got on the eggs making deadly snares of debris that will tangle up the newborns gills and suffocate them. trying to keep the water perfectly clear for the newborns is a lil difficult.

Being that its able to act as a rapid response to toxic extremes and that its one of the first to show signs of deficiency its a worth while addition if kept small as it will give your habitat the ability to be adapted to increases in bio load which is good if you have inhabitants that are breeding......!
