I remember over hearingy step-grandmother singing this along with other dong ehen we were visiting her and my maternal grandfather. Grandpa had met jer when he was a stagehand at the opera house she was performing at. Anyway hhrir wrrc time we would hear her singing from her wnd grandpas bedroom or some other part of their apartment including the bathroom snd lets just she had the voice range including the ability to shatter glass while singing which I remember alto will after experiencing it a time or two and not wanting to get hit as soon as we notice what is about to happen I or all of us would yell stop you are about to break glass again including the windows. But I remember this was one of the do gs she would sing. Sadly she has past on. Not sure if she did or not nuty brother was hospitalized at UCLA for surgery but I heard she was thinking about performing for the patients and staff there to chear them up which included my brother. I know a friend of my dad gave a mini concert at Northridge Hospital where he was undergoing therapy. Which brought smiles to the patients and staff. Dont knowbif he ever did it again after my father left but eould mind if he did to bring smiles again to everyone whongave been threw so much including life threatening accidents like my dad. Which almost took his life my dad had suffered so msny broken bones it wasn't funny snd yhatbis aldo when I learned he was also onebofy God fathers I and my brother had two. They are both dead now. One was of German ancestry the other was African American. Which I have no problem with considering 9ne of my uncles is half African American and my mother's little half brother. And her other half brother is half Jewish. One brother threw her mom the other threw her father.
