im very late to this video but wanted to ask how loud does this get, im looking to buy my very first amp and guitar soon and the code 25 is already on my list, the yt videos give me a good enough representation of how it sounds but i have no idea how loud it gets. Is it just enough to be loud on a single room? in the entire house? can the neighbors hear it? or is it loud enough to shake stuff near it? if you could tell me how loud it is on that scale i'd be thankful

so anyone seeing this and wondering.....the American Ultra Jazz bass does the exact same thing....and guess what? My brand new American Ultra Telecaster does too. I guess no Fenders are shielded whatsoever so you get some buzz and then when you touch anything metal, it goes away. It's worse on this Jazz bass because of the active preamp, but it's still there on my Tele.

So far I’ve had her since 2021 brand new, and has about 14k miles now, and knock on wood, no issues. Everything I’ve read is the 5.0 is a reliable engine. I’ve got a 2022 f150 with the 5.0 with 13k miles as well and she’s been running strong too. I’m keeping the mustang mostly stock because I love her how she is!

i already have a player plus p bass... im looking for a pj thats passive or atleast has a tone knob in passive mode.. is it worth buying the american performer? or should i save up and just go for the american ultra?
@JayOchs
@JayOchs 6 ай бұрын
So, I can now compare the player plus series to the american performer, as I just got a player plus jazz. the jazz feels awesome and sounds great, and i'd think it was american quality. the performer american is the bare bones american, but it does have a great tone and plays great. Keep this in mind, if you want passive i think you need to get performer because ultra is active...the ultra jazz is active, and keep in mind that fenders active pickups are noisy as hell. my player plus jazz "noiseless" pickups are far from it, and it buzzes real loud when you're not touching metal....and the american ultra jazz i tried did the same thing but worse. so yeah, i'd say the performer is a good one to grab!
@StraiyEU
@StraiyEU 6 ай бұрын
@@JayOchs yeah the noises on the "noiseless" pickups on my Player Plus p is crazy... So, i'll think about it, if i get the performer or just a normal p bass like the american pro, because most of the times i just use the p pickup...
@JayOchs
@JayOchs 6 ай бұрын
@@StraiyEU the performer pbass is a deluxe so it’s got the J pickup too. Best of both worlds. And when you roll the tone off, it’s got a nice low end to it. The player plus with the tone at 0 is still really trebly. I like it, but if you want something like a classic low tone P sound, do the passive in the performer bass

OC5. I've got the 2, 3 and 5 and the 5 is the best. 2 doesn't track well at all and gets warbly. 3 sounds too digital and has a slight lag time when you turn it on. 5 sounds the best and has the OCT+1 feature too.
@GalenIRL
@GalenIRL 8 ай бұрын
@@JayOchs thats sorta my conclusion aswell. It seems to have all the benefits of the oc2 (with tracking issues and analogue simulators that can be disengaged, without the bugs of the oc3. And the octave up? Seems like winwinwin here. Fair price, does what i need it to do (play cky not sure if youre familiar, if not listen to familiar realm for the sake of it.) And a shit ton more. Not sure what other pedal can do that? Ive been looking at pogs n stuff but its not what im looking for i think. Thick fuzzy distortion with some sweet ass penta/majorscale riffs. And for all of you wondering what cky is, forget about familiar realm, listen to 96 quite bitter beings, everyones hears that riff if youre 25-40 yo a million times. And that is the sound of an oc2 with probably an hotrodded 8/900. Anyway thanks Jay, imma go with the oc-5!
