Appreciate it. Finally have our heads out the sand. My only objection to what you said, QB, rebuild, etc... is that carroll has done it twice with worse base resources. Not saying that he will, only saying that he has....twice 😁

As a Raiders fan I appreciate your analysis. The AFC West should be a lot more fun this year. Also look at it this way, The Raiders might be a little more of a problem for you guys, but they also might have a chance to beat the Chiefs at least once a year, and every game those bastards loose makes it better for the rest of us.

We have to put blame on him for sure. But our deficiencies and lack of talent showed on offense. QJ was a fucking ghost. He’s gotta find a way to man up because when he has one drop….his confidence is destroyed. Herbert needs an interior OL and another top flight receiver or TE DESPERATELY

This offseason, we definitely need to enhance our interior. MOST of this is Tom Telascos fault for getting us a soft ass roster. I was far more happy seeing Telasco go than Staley. I actually like Joe Hortiz so far

Definitely and I think Hortiz will figure it out but this season we will be very dependent on the health of our players and if it only took us 4 weeks to lose our best player I am nervous of going 13 straight weeks now.

I used to disagree with you. But the facts are there. I don’t think Herbert is elite. Top 10? Yes. But I don’t want to hear “top 5” anymore. Herbert has been clutch against average to bad teams. Besides the Eagles that one year, I haven’t seen him clutch out against an elite team. Harbaugh has had success. He does have a lot going against him, but he needs to get us more Ws in bigger moments.

@RATEDRSportsDebates You need to elaborate more on clutch plays and play calling? Also, We weren't debating whether he is clutch or not. We have seen him do amazing things but we have also seen him fall short far too often. You're not wrong about the organization but it has shown signs of wanting to improve and there is only a few franchises that know how to consistently develop a QB. I am not out on Herbert my debate is if you are elite and top 5 as a lot of people claim he is you must back that up. Right now he has not, and I am not going to blame another OC. Elite players overcome and its time for Herbert to show us he can overcome, I don't care about stats just win games.

Glad to see you back! If Herbert can stay healthy (now that he has a high ankle sprain) I think we make the playoffs. Our run game is elite, our defense is much improved over Staley. Our special teams is still good. Besides our pass game (which we haven’t really needed) we have no “Tom Telasco” gaping holes right now. Bolt up!

We picked up some good rookie WRs. Either way him having more time to throw will allow the other receivers to get better. If you believe Justin is elite than you need to trust he makes the rest of the team better. We have had great WR and RBs and it has not gotten us nowhere, Time for a different approach! Lets keep Herbie healthy and not running for his life!

Everyone needs to ask them selves one question; Does getting one of those flashy WRs fix the problems that has plagued this team for many years? If the answer is no, then move on. Joe Alt fixes a problem on the line that we've had since drafting Pipkins and long before that. He also fixes a tone that was not set for years and years. These are moves that get you into the playoffs and wins you games. Everyone needs to relax.

This is what separates Jim Harbaugh and all of everyone else. Jim Harbaugh is a genius. Winning the trenches creates offense. They just need to draft at least a couple more players like Joe Alt to open up more holes for the run game. Once they do that, nothing will stop Herbert and their offense.

Herbert will make other better and people are sleeping on Palmer he had to be WR1 a few games due to injury and played well! This is a process and we taking the right steps to win! Honestly the top four teams this year had one major thing in common and were top offensive lines. Herbert can make players better on his own! Keeping him up right is important I dont want to see him hurt again this year!

Thank you about the Joe Burrow-Jamarr Chase nugget. Yes they made it to the Super Bowl. But you know who lost them that Super Bowl? The Offensive Lineman who let Burrow get hit on 4th down. Who got Herbert hurt last year? The Offensive Lineman who let him get hit. Who got Herbert hurt in 2022? The Offensive Lineman who let him get hit. Who was the reason Maxx Crosby getting to Herbert in 2021 with a playoff spot on the line? The Offensive Lineman who let him get hit. I also love the Lions example. We wanted a WR, but we NEEDED an Offensive Lineman. Trust in Jim Harbaugh. Everywhere he's gone, EVERYWHERE, he's quickly turned things around. People didn't like the Justin Herbert pick, and people were divisive on Joey Bosa at the time too. People hated the Josh Palmer pick before he started stepping up when Mike Williams and Keenan Allen were getting hurt. And speaking of Keenan Allen, dude was a Round 3 pick for us. Its much easier to find a mid to late round stud WR than an O-Lineman. Trust the process

@@chargerslineofscrimmage As much as I wanted him, Malik Nabers would not have solved our problems on offense. People talk about how WR was a more pressing need when in reality we had TWO great WRs last year and Herbert STILL got hurt. We've been bottom 5 at running the ball, and I've lost count of how many times we failed to convert of 4th and 2 or less. Now Herbert will have a Running game and those 3rd and short/4th and short situations should be a piece of cake.

If you lose in LA, nobody is gonna watch you. Ask the Rams last season when they started to lose. And if Spanos doesn’t open up his pocket book this offseason, he needs to sell the team to someone who will.

Yeah, the online needs to be reconstructed and I think that should be the first thing we fix. Even if we lose our top receivers having a good online will help Herbert buy time to make decent receivers good recivers

I agree with you. I know the odds are stacked against him for sure! The lack of defense and coaching to support him his entire career. I just believe there has to be some accountability on his part as well. I do believe he is the guy but 0-7 in final possessions looks bad and not even in a position to kick a field goal? That is something that he does have to take accountability for because any elite Qb who is 0-7 in any game winning drives would be criticized. It kills me we wasted his rookie contract on Staley… that’s the part that just burns deep… just so the Spanos save money

This season is done. This is a bad season. Herbert has excuses from me. 3rd OC, worst O line (if you don’t believe, look it up), Ekeler regressed and can’t catch balls, receiving core injured with QJ being a bust. Fuck Acho, Herbert gets a pass in my book. The defense doesn’t. How the fuck did everyone in our secondary regress when we have a good pass rush??? That’s coaching. 3 years without significant improvement. And our defense puts Herbert in situations where he’s gotta clutch it out damn near every game. Most QBs ain’t gotta do that.

I think we know who the problem of this team is. Brandon Staley can’t handle his side of the ball against good teams. He absolutely cannot beat balanced teams since his tenure. The best win he honestly ever had was against the Bengals in 2021. He’s gotta go. Last week I was built up with false hope, and I gave him one last chance….and this is it. The ONLY way he can get my confidence back in him is if he beats the Ravens at home on prime time. At this point, we should fire Staley right now and let’s AT LEAST find out what Kellen Moore has to offer as an interim HC. The raiders did it and we can’t ask Herbert to score 28+ per game

Let’s say we beat the ravens though in a high scoring game would you still be sold? I think even if he has a good defensive game every once in a while it’s not good enough. We’re reaching 3 years with this man…. Coaches that got hired in his tenure are all better then him. Robert Saleh actually has a good defense, Sirioni has been amazing with the eagles and Dan Campbell…. They all have done great things with their teams…. There’s no redemption story for Staley anymore

I agree with your take. This game was a good confidence builder for the team. Granted the competition was the best the Bolts needed a steamroll a team that they were expected to win. Chargers are notorious for playing to the level of their opponent. Seems like every year they have those games they are supposed to win that they lose .
