At first I don't understand why criminal mastermind like Moriarty have a more destructive NP than his counterpart Holmes. Even I read the explanation of the NP in wikia does not help. Until I watch Game of Shadow I realize something. In most media incarnation I watched Professor James Moriaty's ideology are about bringing the collapse of current society, anarchy and disrupt the order. It's just like Babbage's idea of stream world and Shiro's hill of swords, Moriaty's mind is filled with ruin and destruction. I mean... he's the guy to trying to start WW1 early just to make a profit of it and that's is just only his phase 1 of the road of his ideal. The Dynamic of Asteroid is the product of his true NP 'The End of Spider Web' which disguise as his servant skill. He can setup the ambush (increase NP damage), lure the unsuspected target in to his trap (fill NP gauge) while discard some minor card for a bigger play (decrease 10 C.Stars) and convince some of people to help his scheme (give evil alignment to the others). When everything is set Moriarty spring all of the trap and ambush the unprepared target with calculated and brutal efficiency (decrease target's def) and finish it with his big payload: the concept of asteroid that represent his ideal of the world of destruction same method as Emiya Alter load his Reality Marble into his gun. Unlike Holems's NP is all about solving all mysteries in the world, Moriarty NP is about bringing his enemies to their demise. Just like when he lure Holmes to their ultimate showdown at Reichenbach Falls. With this analysis, I conclude that Moriarty not only qualify as a caster class in original. He also qualify as an assassin as he can play clock and dagger game. Even without his Freeshooter fusion, I still think Moriarty still qualify as an archer class due to his connection with his hitman Col. Moran, who I can bet manifest into Moriarty's sniper rifle just like Gilgamesh using Enkidu as a chain or Kintoki using his bear as a motorcycle.
