If Gronkowski didn't get so far behind at the beginning, he would of had this race. He was traveling faster than Justify at the last furlong. But Justify prevailed and became a triple crown winner.

@@rimo1267 I am not a big fan of doping but certain drugs are legal in the USA as a Man Bob seems likeable enough if he is into doping I would not agree with it , lots of successful people are crooks in Australia there was a BIG scandal with Darren Weir still yet to be resolved he was using a jigger to administer an electric shock to make a horse run faster not drugs but just as crooked .....the idea was the "train" the horse with shocks so on Raceday when the jockey made a move the animal would expect a shock :( and hit turbo charge

Roy Tallow it was so little that it wouldn’t of affected his performance in the Santa Anita Derby anyway. He did not have any drug in his system during any of the TC races and the drug in his system was proved to be from food contamination, which is common for that substance in California where the incident happened

and fifth of Seattle Slew, and some War Admiral as well. Nice Combo..Pedigree.

Unlike riding crops, which are made of leather and some sort of hard material (plastic, for example) racing whips are made of a foam like substance, and their main purpose is to make noise to encourage the horse to move forward. The whip probably only touched Justify 5 times throughout he entire race

@Charles Ray I see your point. I love horses' Just like anything we all have the ones we hold dear. Seattle Slew was a great horse.. I was shocked that he was third in this Kentucky Derby on line race They never give him his due. I push Mind That Bird I have met him twice. He is a very special horse. Going too see him this summer. Yea he that special. Every horse should have there day. Secretariat was great kind of hard not to talk about him. So please forgive me. Last years Derby was very scary. When they can ruin a horse just like that. It is a dark cloud. Take care.

Agree, Justify is by far the weakest triple crown winner. The fact that people are even comparing him to the undefeated champion Seattle Slew is disgraceful. Justify was never ran against older horses, then he was retired because of an "injury" aka we know he's not that good so lets retire him to secure the most amount of money on his breeding rights.

Smogger911 Justify did like the slop better than Pharoah though. The Preakness for both was sloppy, Justify ran 2 seconds faster than AP. Both of them are amazing horses, and I don’t think we got to see everything Justify could’ve given us, since the rest of his crop with the exception of Good Magic never really pushed him
