@@proteqdetailing U guys did a really nice job on it, i like the black badges as well. Works well with the colour. Im in the south east which is just too far other wise i would do the same thing

We had a customer travel up from Reading a couple of weeks back. 😁 The customer supplied the badges but I think someone on ebay will sell them.

Reading isnt too far from me, maybe an hour further for me to get to Lincoln but may well have to arrange to come up 1 day if i do purchase the car. Thanks again 👍

@@proteqdetailing It's only when you know the actual colour, that you start to see it as a Grey! Looks like KZbin colour rendition leaves much to the imagination. Will have to go to the local dealer to try & see Brooklyn Grey in the flesh ;-)

My 2008 PRHT has oxidized panels. From what I’ve read the paint is a a mix of paint and clear. I would recommend getting a ceramic coat or maybe have a paint shop apply a clear coat on top to protect it before the paint is ruined from oxidation

@@davidleal923 Cheers David, good advice. I guess paint on plastic ages differently to paint on plastic. I wax regularly so hopefully create some protection.

No protection added at all. Only removal off contaminates.

Do you mean compound, polish, wax? How do you know it gives the best shine? have you done lots of testing and them measured the results with a gloss meter? in all the years of professional detailing, we have never used Turtle wax as their products are aimed at the consumer market and not professional-grade products.

@@proteqdetailing I’ve tried it and its awesome! The turtle wax spray bottle is so easy to apply too. And it smells good. No more compound polishes for me. Not very shiny, lots of cake you have to clean up, stinks, and much more effort to apply. Give the turtle wax spray a shot. You might like it.

@@goldwolf0606 we specialise in paint correction and ceramic coatings we do not use spray-on products. Like I said before we use professional-grade products, not consumer products.

@@proteqdetailing if consumer products get you better results that consumers prefer, it might be such a bad idea financially speaking. If I got the compound results from a professional, I would never go again. Just saying. Your shop, your decision though, just like my money, my decision. Good luck!

@@goldwolf0606 I think you will find consumer products work out a lot more expensive than professional-grade products especially as most professionals get discounts on the products they use. We are not going to apply a spray wax on a car when a customer is paying for a ceramic coating. If you want to keep applying your spray-on products every week then feel free to, there offer little to no protection and have to be applied constantly which makes them even more expensive.

Hi Reece, you are correct about a 3 stage being compound, polish and, refining polish but, the products nowadays are so good at finishing out the paint that 95% of the time there is no need to do a 3 stage.

@@proteqdetailing alright so for a 2 stage polish, would you skip the heavy cutting compound and do a medium compound and a finishing compound? Because I’ve seen people do a heavy cutting compound and then a finishing compound as a 2 stage polish. So they skip the medium compound.

Miineral deposits can come from various places, washing in the summer and the sun drying out the water/wash soloution or acid rain but, in this particular instance there were building down the road and the dust had settled on the car causing this issue.
