Great information. You definitely did your research on how different combination of herbs work differently depending on your energetic make-up. I lost my hair the day I blindly applied a bunch of ayurvedic products for deep conditioning. LOL! so thank you for this information.

Do you have high porosity hair. If so that could be why. High porosity hair loves protein. Ambunu is more moisturizing than strengthening. Zizyphus/Sidr/Qasil which are all the same thing is more strengthening and does the same thing as Ambunu😁

People Ambunu is a natural hair cleanser with Cassia in it, it also detangles, as well as conditions(but you do need to add in your own good leave in. Your Ambunu Was Thick and application is key. I d not know if you actually watch a video of the women from chad who have been using Ambunu for Centuries and their hair is extremely long. The Ambunu is never thick like you had it and application is don in small thinner section from roots to end pour and a wide tooth comb used anfter gently working it with their fingers. Application Matters, Good Straining Matters,, did you rub your hair rather than use you findger tips and massage you scalp, then work you hair gently from roots to end? I have been using Ambunu and it has worked well for my hair except 1 time when I did not follow up with my leave conditioner and ran out of mositurizing spray. and I let my hair dry (I never use a hair dryer) but, it was dry, I did not like that dryness at all. My hair revived after I gave it what it needed. Remember your hair and scalp is yours not everyone elses what works for one does not always work for others, your hair and scalp knows what it needs you have to know that to and go that route andstick with what works for your hair and scalp in a healthy way. Thank You for sharing, it's a warning for us to be gentle and loving to our hair and scalp being good stewards of it. Go To Henna Sooq or Curly Proverb for learning about such natural products and process they are very good in these are, some of the best I have seen on KZbin!

Maybe she made it too thick but her porosity also plays a large role. Zizyphus does the same thing but is more strengthening. Ambunu is more moisturizing 😉

I'm really sorry what happened to your hair, but thankful you were so generous enough to share your unfortunate experience with the rest of us. A previous tutorial used *1 TABLESPOON* _ambunu_ to *4 CUPS* of _water_ and it seemed to work really nicely on her son's hair. Nevertheless I was left wondering what would happen if one were to increase the quantity of ambunu? Would that work _even BETTER?_ And now you have informed all of us that, _NO, more_ is not always better! So, Thank you! 💝 Oh! Your hair still came out lovely anyway.

This proves that at times there is Too much of a good thing!! You must learn how to follow directions.. that's what put you in the pickle you were in. You didn't follow the directions. You used way too little water so it'll alter the properties of the product on your hair. 2ndly always do your hair in little sections. Little sections help you achieve little mistakes instead of big mistakes. I'm sure you've probably learned by now...we live & learn .. thanks for sharing though.

First off, the first mistake was trying to do the same amount of sections as she has. You have way more texture than she has. I would have done 12-18. Secondly, combing out the twist to smooth them, completely disturbs each individual section you’ve added to the twist. Whitney never does this. Third, the cream you used doesn’t have hold. It’s an activator, that still needs another on top to control the strand. I’d definitely try it again, with more sections, a better styler, and not combing the twist to smooth. Just smooth with your hands as you twist, just like she does in the video, and untwisting the frizzy parts, then smoothing them down with your HANDS as you retwist them.

Girl I'm glad you shared. But it was how you washed and mixed. I think it was more user error. I only wash my hair with the ambunu. But it never came out that think. I'm glad I now know I will never make it that thick. I think it was the portion you used

That’s why I don’t jump on trends. I wait a long time after it dies out to see if it’s worth it. If afterwards people are still saying it works then I try it. Also I do believe you prob applied it wrong. I have found that detangling my 4c hair before washing saves time, is easier, saves water and less tangle and breakage. Hair is actually weaker when extremely wet or extremely dry and can snap when brushing. So I detangle first by prepooing. I saturate hair in coconut oil first then section off. Then I spray hair lightly so it is moisturized and feels soft but not wet. Then I undo one section at a time, add sheabutter to that section and detangle with shower brush. The raw Shea butter added after the oil and water makes my hair so so soft and so easy to detangle. It’s a thick waxy fat that smooths and protects hair while combing and brushing. Once done then I wash my hair in 4 sections. It’s so much easier this way cause I do not want to be in the shower trying to detangle my hair, it’s tiring. Instead I can sit on chair, put a show on and detangle.which is exactly what I am doing right now. Watching KZbin while detangle b4 I jump in shower. Lol.

@@NaturalSaintdupsie I am so pleased I didn’t give up. The growth on my crown is very slow I’ve had consistent stress caring for my youngest who at 22 has severe and complex health. Sorry that this happened to you. That was badly tangled. Glad you were able to get it detangled. I've used Ambunu on my hair and my child's hair and it worked for us. I blend the Ambunu before using it then add the hot water and let it sit. Then drain. I apply it to the hair as a wash and don't use a shampoo before. I detangle then I rinse it out. My hair always comes out very soft and shiny after. It might have been the mix of all the herbs together that you used. I know some herbs strip and dry your hair. Ambunu does not though. Also, you don't need to use shampoo before and you have to rinse the Ambunu out after. Thank you for sharing your experience.
