I know this video was made 2 years ago, so I don’t know who will see my comment. My question is, the side that the pearls are on considered the front? If so, you’re calling the front loops the back loops and vice versa.

This looks awesome! I was looking for smth to do with my raffia ball. If i want it a bit bigger, do you have a recommendation on the number of chains? (Even, odd, multiple of)?

Hello thanks for such a great tutorial. I'm nearly finished and I'm a bit stuck on the strap (28:50). Ive chain stitched then done 2 rows and slip Stitch...what comes next? 😊

if your starting chain is 23 shouldn't you end up with 22 sc not 21
@TheHookNation Жыл бұрын
make sure to start the sc from the 2nd stitch from the hook. :)

The sides of my bag are getting much wider than the base. How did you keep your sides straight?
@TheHookNation Жыл бұрын
Hi Taya. The sides of the bag will be wider than the base by default. Make sure the yarn tension is maintained throughout otherwise it will become wider/slouchier.
@kimclarke4963 Жыл бұрын
Have you tried this with any other types of yarn instead of chunky, if so would live to see or what other yarn would you recommend
@TheHookNation Жыл бұрын
Hi Kim, I initially tried it with a thinner yarn but it just wasn't the look I was going for. To obtain the slouchy look, a thicker yarn will work much better.

Hi so if I’m using a thinner yarn should I keep increasing in same pattern? Thank you
@TheHookNation2 жыл бұрын
Hi Najwa. Yes, if you use a thinner yarn you will have to increase the stitches to match the size you want :)

What should i do when its curling
@TheHookNation3 жыл бұрын
If the base is curling, it means that the tension is too tight. It's normal if it curls a bit, but try to make the chain and base without tugging at the yarn too much.

This is such a stunning vest, is it possible to use much thinner yarn like one that requires a 2-3 mm sized hook for the collar if you’ve worked the body with a size 6.5 hook?
@TheHookNation3 жыл бұрын
Thank you Umeima! Yes, you can use thinner yarn, but I don't think it will look very good as it will be very difficult to match the stitches to make it look even. Maybe you could make a thin trim around the vest collar instead for a little pop of colour. :)

The bag look small. Can i know the bag size?
@erikavelazquez18353 жыл бұрын
Beautiful work! Can this bag made with smaller yarn? Thanks
@TheHookNation3 жыл бұрын
Hi Erika, yes it can! Thinner yarn means you will need more skeins and the number of stitches may need adjusting as well. Happy crocheting!
@sukanya65123 жыл бұрын
hello, what was the diameter of the pearls?
@TheHookNation3 жыл бұрын
Hi Sukanya. They were 8mm pearls (the pack I ordered comes in different sizes so I chose the ones that looked the best in my opinion but it's definitely personalizable).

Love the work and the bag 🤩. I wonder how to adjust the number if the frame is bigger or smaller 🤔
@TheHookNation3 жыл бұрын
Hi Ilma, make sure the yarn covers the handles then, just match that number for the body. To test it, make a chain and see if it is long enough for the handles. If yes, use that number!

You are so talented. Thank you for sharing this tutorial.... finally in English. How much yarn do I need for this bag?
@TheHookNation3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much Ben, I'm so happy you liked the bag. I used two balls of yarn for this project. I would recommend getting three if you are making a strap or a bigger bag.

Hi can you please tell me how many skeins of yarn did you use for this project? Btw I’m in love with your work! 💕
@TheHookNation3 жыл бұрын
Hi A L! I used 2 skeins of the super chunky yarn. I was left with only a small amount in the end so, if you would like to modify the bag to make it bigger or to make straps, 3 skeins would be the safest bet! Thank you so much for your kind words :)
