Hi, thank you for your message. We understand your concern, and many people today are worried about the economic downturn - especially students. But Umeå does have a lot of job opportunities, also part time. So hopefully you'll find something, we also have job fairs every semester where the students can meet representatives from local businesses. Maybe one of those could be worth a visit?

I know this is a old comment but if you see this, could you tell a bit about your experience with it? Did you manage to make long term friends from it too? Are a shy type of person? I like South Korea and their culture and been considering looking into studying in South Korea as an exchange student in the future but I'm a pretty shy and sheltered person so making friends is pretty hard to me...;; but I can imagine it being very hard to do things alone if you dont even know the language to a fluent level... I'm just thinking if this really is something for me or not
