I so adore that little chonky fountain pen haha. The ink in the new one you tried is gorgeous, it reminds me of cerulean. Also, I just noticed the pencil that you have, and it reminded me that my dad actually had a few pencils like that! I wonder if my mom's kept any of them over the years. So with the fountain pens, it seems like they're worth the investment - I have a couple of prefilled Pilot fountain pens I love. But that one that you've had for 10 years, is the original ink still in it? I'm so curious! Have a great weekend Jack. Thanks again for another fun video!

Brilliant Jack!! Sorry that I missed this when it first came out. I feel very similar about my channel. I did well in my first six months after monetising then revenue dropped off. Have considered Amazon affiliates..... by adding your custome amazon links to products you feature in your videos - you get a small % of what people spend on amazon after following the links. I don't do a heavy sell and just include the affiliate links in my descriptions - but that has made almost the same amount as I get through adsense....
@SigogglinJack3 күн бұрын
Thanks that’s good to know. I might try that as well.
@MB_EDC3 күн бұрын
@@SigogglinJack It is really easy to set up and just takes 10 minutes to add the links to each video description. In my best month last year I earned $100 from Amazon and about the same from KZbin adsense. Views dropped off a lot for the first few months this year - so I have not done as well...... although one of my recent videos - is having a good run!!!

I've been waiting for this review. What you probably experience; when you say you are liking the Lamy and Kaweco's writing; more than the Pilot pen, could be that both Lamy and Kaweco are German brands, with German manufactured nibs. Pilot is a Japanese company and Pilot nibs are known to write a finer line. So a Pilot medium nib will write more like a German fine, and a Pilot fine will be more like a German; or Western; extra fine. That's why I ordered a medium nib in my Prera. I dislike extra fines in most pens. But your gray Prera is a classic and I'm sure you'll come to enjoy it.
@SigogglinJack3 күн бұрын
Thanks Teresa. Good information. I enjoyed your review very much. I also picked up the Pilot Explorer but haven’t unboxed it yet. I’m thinking about getting a Conklin or a Sailor next.

I'm always glad to see a new video from you! This stuff is my happy place. I embrace technology, but for creativity and things like that, I love the analog vibe so much more. I've only recently gotten into fountain pens myself, but my TWSBI Eco is my favorite possession in the world right now. Writing with it is a joy. I appreciate your channel because I love traveler's notebooks and journals, even the junk ones, but there is an absence of a masculine direction in that space. Don't get me wrong, I learned how to make faux-dori journals from those folks (which I did with a leather cover that fits the 3.5x5.5" notebooks and it is rad). So I appreciate what they do, but it's cool to see how other gents use these things. Safe Travels!

I’ve been happy with the 2 different waterproof Olight keychain flashlights I replaced a 20 year old one I got after the 1989 SF Bay Area earthquake. The Olight i3E EOS runs on 1 AAA battery and is often on sale for $9. This one makes a great gift for young people coming of age, and someone new to having a flashlight in their EDC. The Olight i1R 2EOS is rechargeable with a usb-micro port, shorter than the one you showed, but not as bright.

Excellent review of one of my favorite SAKs, the Swisschamp. Love the super tweezers name for the pliers. I will just say that the pliers on the champ, while small, are very precise. The tolerances on these tools are amazingly consistent. I’ve handled many of these over the years and they all are invariably the same, precise tools. Beware of fake, Chinese army knives. But the quality of the real ones usually stands out. Liked and subscribed. Thanks
