I always love seeing what the process is for everybody. Everybody has a little bit of a different way of provisioning, but they all seem to pretty much mirror each other as well. It’s all very informative.

Skookum! You've spent enough time on the West Coast that you're declaring something to be Skookum! The skipper of Stanley J knows that channel/passage well or certainly spent some time with the charts before making that run!!! Some impressive currrents to navigate, even when you've got that kind of HP to force your way through.

100% the captain has been though there lots over the years and knows the right path to follow. Having 600hp “helps” with the currents :)

Wow, so busy. We are usually there in spring and/or fall, often with only one or two other boats and no stern ties required. Still a fine anchorage with walking trails over to Von Donop and kayaking in the lagoon.
@MVEudora3 ай бұрын
Agreed, that was the peak of the season and very busy. The kayak in the lagoon is very nice at high tide.

Please don't take this as a criticism of your narration, because it isn't. Your choice of music, the volume and the sinking of the tempo with the speed you're traveling is perfect. Unfortunately, the majority of presenters tend to want to over power their non-verbal portions of their videos which detracts from what we are watching. Safe and happy travels. Semper Fi.

Thanks Tom, I really appreciate you taking the time to write a comment about the video! We are always looking for feedback! Balancing music, talking, background sounds and even general boat sounds is always exciting. I do think we are slowly getting things figured out with each video we put together.

Nice video. How many Ns were there and how did you choose Poulsbo?
@MVEudora4 ай бұрын
Sorry for the delay I believe there were about 70 boats at the event. As for a location it was held in 2018 previously in Poulsbo and they recently expanded the marina which was used for the event. Finding a marina to home 70 large boats is always a challenge. All the credit for the event goes to Don, Jill, Bill who worked amazingly hard to make this event a success!

Those flopper stoppers make a big difference?
@MVEudora4 ай бұрын
Hi, they do make a tremendous difference. The paravanes hold the “fish” angled slightly downwards and weighing about 45lbs about 14ft under water, providing a large range of motion that they can create resistance and dampen/smooth out the roll of the boat. Takes about 5 minutes per side to deploy and about 5-10 minutes to retrieve.

The Pacific White Sided Dolphin is the “I’m just here for the good time” dolphin. My absolute favorite! We were escorted for miles by a super pod of what I’d guess to be nearly a 100 of them while passing through Johnstone Strait.
@MVEudora5 ай бұрын
Amazing! They were exactly as you said “here for a good time” playing around in the anchorage for about an hour. Can’t wait to hopefully see more as we head north this summer!
@BloodyIron5 ай бұрын
Nailed it! Only one slight pause in your cadence, but it's so hard to make it absolutely flawless. I also like the peak inside at the beginning. Audio was very well balanced, was able to hear your voice clear as day, the music was at a nice balance level whereby it influenced my experience but did not over-shadow and did not under-perform. I think perhaps the only thing missing is that while you spoke about the "hook", you didn't flesh it out enough. Considering this is a promo video for what's to come, you need to leave the viewer wanting more. And sure, you did that a bit, but you didn't leave me scrambling to find the next video. I would say that's the only thing you could have improved upon for this one that comes to mind. Yay!

Hi Kevin, We have a DJI Mini Pro 4. Great little unit, be sure to get your basic/advanced(Canada), FCC license(USA) to use the advanced extended batteries. We usually get about 30-35 minutes of flying time out of a single battery. Highly recommended!
