@@Pppp-zi7ex definitely has its usefulness, but it’s a) monster dependent and b) dependent on what weapon class you are pairing it with. The crimson fatalis’ hammer happens to be among the best overall weapons for its weapon class - high raw, good sharpness, good way to customize your build due to max amount of slots and in addition a decent ratio for blast buildup. But I wouldn’t specifically recommend using weapons just for the sake of having the blast status on them :) Always double check if they have any particular elemental weaknesses first, and maximize your critical hit ratio while not neglecting the amount of raw damage.

For most openings it would probably not make that big a difference due to the increased windup time of the whole animation, definitely a bit too sluggish compared to the shorter lv 3 charge. That being said though what I need to work on is fitting in more lv 3 charges overall. It’s risky, but ends up being the best way to drain his HP faster. I’ll have to fine-tune my positioning 😅

Have experimented a little with GS and LS so far, but didn’t seem to be getting anywhere. His tendency to fly about and stay out of range in addition to the scales and bleed effect are a nightmare. I haven’t found many runs regardless the weapon especially for MHGU. If i recall correctly his hind legs were a lot more prone to make him trip in 4U compared to GU. But maybe you’re on to something with bow, i’ll give it a try sometime and see how it goes 😆

@@huntersdomain3479 I feel like this is the hardest matchup for bow, especially in its spawning area.

@@soratheorangejuicemascot5809 doesn’t sound very enticing 😅 but who knows, if there’s a way to stun lock him with rapid or heavy bow, it might work. I don’t think Seregios has a long recovery animation though 🤔

@@huntersdomain3479 how about not aiming its gunner weakspot? Give it a good old fashion leg work out. Ditch the weakness exploit, I think. What I need to know is which is the right bow for this. Perhaps some spread bow can work, or the zinogre bow. I think I really need to get this game to see if it works. Reason why I ask this is because I never beat Seregios with a bow. Edit.. in MH4U and MHgen.

I do think if it works at all it’ll end up being the classic choices - nerscylla’s rapid bow or the harbinger heavy bow

I agree, he’s really not that bad once you understand the move patterns. I’d say the only move that’s terrible is when he’s far away and decides to slither towards you. If not using valor or adept dodge that move is annoying 😅

Except for db or sns i guess, god its so horrible without mind eye. Good thing sns have mind oil.

It’s one of the skills. Sheathe Sharpen/Challenge Sheathe - has a 35% chance to proc and restore a few units of sharpness whenever you sheathe your weapon and as long as the monster is enraged. Blends extremely well with a crit draw GS build :)
