Hello, dear Kate ~ we have been grieving the death (via euthanasia) of our beloved 13.8 year old puplet, Milo. He’d taken a sudden (and unexpected )turn for the worst. We are now facing a second mast cell tumour surgery for our last surviving puplet, on Wednesday. She is 13.6 years old and we know her remaining time with us is limited. We’ve had dogs continuously for the past 34 years, so this is particularly hard for us. Thank you for checking up on me and for your loving thoughts. Please accept the same from me for yourself and your dear Mom 🫶🏻💕🫶🏻

Hello friends ❤ That coastal drive was so beautiful! I was so happy every time you stopped to show the sea 😊 That cave was very interesting, and I shared Annelie's awe to think that someone thousands of years ago stood in the very same spot! It gave new meaning to "huisie by die see" 😉 Let me tell you, if I had been a passenger during the 4 x 4 trail, Werner would have had to bleep out so many interesting words that he'd probably just have to put an entire song over it 😂 What a stunning morning at your "blou huis"! Those views and sounds are nothing short of therapy for the soul. Thank you both ❤ Such a well produced video, and as always, so nice to watch the two of you being so natural and enjoying your surroundings 🤗

Thats a lovely bit of coast line, I doubt the guys who were driving "off the road" should have been there. As driving like that damages the beaches - as much as they think it great fun. I am with Annelie about soft sand. I have got stuck in soft sand before in the Cederberg and its not fun! But having Traction mats are very important for self recovery. The skies all that day were like an ominous canvas, I hope it stayed dry for you. The caves were fascinating - Thanks for posting, its a lovely trip.

@@nonibbs Thanks for your comments, Penny. Yes, we were careful to stay on the designated tracks, but we did lose the way in the sandy part. It was then that it became too risky for us 😐. Absolutely stunning, the view out the cave over the stormy southern Atlantic was breathtaking! And what skills with the drone in the wind to show us the coastline, as I have never that coast from the ocean side before. Annelie’s face on the return through the soft sand, 😂 while Werner’s toes were curling with delight with the challenge of the 4x4 track. I spent many summers escaping the crowds of Cape Town in the Gaansbaai and Kleinbaai area, but never knew half this was there! Yes Werner, technology is wonderful in the right hands! Hello BRC friends ❤ I sometimes don't always fall asleep easily, so often the loveliest way to wind down is to enjoy one of your videos and go to sleep with all the lovely imagery in mind 😊 Although I will try block out that "beard trimmer spider creature" 😅 I was once bitten by a Sac spider, was pretty ill, not a pleasant experience etc, so I'm not particularly fond of creepy crawlies. But what I will go to sleep thinking of, is that magnificent house, the frog chorus, and the sea views ❤ I'm sure you two must smile to yourselves any time you visit any body of water, because you just know that will certainly interest me 😅 How I loved seeing Coffee on the rocks! You have a knack for finding such charming little places with such atmosphere! Your exploration of those caves took me back to some memories I have of when I went on a tour of the caves at the Cradle Of Humankind. At one section I had to basically crawl through such a small space... a teensy bit claustrophobic but also fascinating to know that some of these cave systems are millions of years old! As always, love your sense of adventure, and enjoyed being a "passenger" again 😊 Thanks guys ❤ Oh and Annelie I hope your mouth / jaw is feeling much better by now! I had 3 of my wisdom teeth out just under local in the chair, and also came away with some bruises so I know these dental procedures aren't fun at all 😩

What a trip full of fun and challenges. I would have huffed and puffed up that rocky ridge too(I always was last reaching the top of any mountain climb) - but one day the worm will turn and Werner will start huffing and puffing on walks! Meanwhile enjoy your fitness Werner! Those close ups of the weathered rocks were so lovely, as you said " a sculpture". It was a real shame it was so misty coming down the Middelburg pass its got lovely scenery. I went through into Citusdal/N7 that way in October last year on my way to Calvinia for a marathon trip in the Karoo. I guess we can say the standards of road and bridge making is now very poor, if these wash aways are a regular event. Clearly just dumping rocks in the gap and slapping tar over the top doesn't work. It is not good enough! But Farm roads and bridges(properly built ones by competent people) to the rescue, what a relief! All in all, enough excitement for any trip! Thanks.

Brakdaks consist of beams over which reeds are placed followed by a clay soil mixture, which is compacted on top of the reeds - . Lots of old Cape houses had them and it makes a nice ceiling. What a gorgeous setting but Annalie I take my hat off to your negotiation of that road. Your one consolation is the car is built for those kinds of roads and I guess as you get more accustomed to driving them, they won't scare you so much. But rather you than me, just the same. Wow, thanks, Penny! We really did not know what 'Brakdak' means, and were wondering about this! Very interesting! I agree, Annelie did a great job with the driving! 😀 Thanks very much for your comments! All the best, Werner

Hello BRC friends ❤ It's been a bit hectic- birthday celebrations for my brother on the weekend, mom is still quite sick, and 2 of our cats had to go in for ops, so that's why it's another delayed response, but here I am again 😊 Thank you for this charming little video! I absolutely loved the song accompanying your stunning drone footage at the beginning of the episode. Annelie, if that was you again, well done on your musical choices 😊 So interesting to see that historical little town with beautiful houses! What amazed me was to also see the really low fences and little gates, when most homes everywhere else are barricaded in like fortresses! I agree that the townspeople were very friendly, and Annelien was very knowledgeable 😊 Dear Frikkie is so well behaved, and I can see he's really endeared himself to you as a lovely little companion ❤ Oh my goodness! That little eatery you went to was so cosy with such an atmosphere, and like Des said, my stomach is too rumbling now for one of those hearty meals 😅 Are you vegan / vegetarian now Annelie?😊 Have seen in a few videos you love veggies and oat / almond milk alternatives 😊 I've tried some myself, and you should see if you could try a cappuccino with macadamia milk- it is so nice! And "Beyond Burgers" are delicious vegan friendly patties if you haven't already tried them 😊 Glad you all had a lovely trip, and look forward to seeing where the next adventure takes you ❤

Hi Kate, Annelie here, normaly Werner is our spokesperson, he just has a way with words😅thanks so much for taking the time to give us such lovely feedback even though you’ve been so busy, we appreciate it so much❤ yes I loved the song in the begining of this video so thanks for your feedback 😂. I am vegetarian and will sometimes use alternative milk as too much cows milk makes me a little🤢. I will definitely try macadamia milks that sounds so good. Hope you will have a more peacefull rest of this week and really hope your mom feels better soon❤❤❤

Je ne connais pas Tulbagh, j'apprécie la découverte. J'aime beaucoup cette architecture à la fois simple et élégante. Une caresse à Frikkie de ma part et aussi de la part d'Ellie.

Hi Marc! 🤣
