Using 2 tuners is a big NO NO! That little MFJ tuner is very easy to use and will match almost anything. But when you are using 2 tuners and you change one of them, that changes the impedance that the other one is looking at so you have to readjust it too. It's kind of like riding a teeter totter!

Sometimes what appears to be a failure is actually a success! I would type out a nice cheat sheet with diagram of your setup and laminate it. The no decode thing is probably a clock issue and lastly, I have always had success with a ground mounted vertical with 8 or so radials. An MFJ whip and a ground mount stake made up with an SO-239 on it is the way to go. NOTE (Putting out a CW CQ signal would have shown that you were getting out). Great video!

Good job on the video. Not sure if you still monitor this, but my HB-1B will no longer let me hold down SET and hear the S, I or T. No mater how long I hold when I lift my finger it plays CQ. Any idea how to fix that? I tried a full reset with no luck. Thanks! 73

Low swr at the rig end of the approx 40 foot coax doesn't guarantee it's that low at the antenna feedpoint. The coax transforms the impedance. Only if the feedline is 1/2-wave long (1/2-wave times the velocity factor factor of the coax) can you be assured that the swr at the rig is the same as at the antenna.

Regarding your antenna, I would just make a 2 meter j-pole from copper water pipe, it would be very wind resistant and is very short.
