Back in the good old days when American superbike racing was worth watching. Now its just pathetic. If Garrett Gerloff is the best the series can produce the U S has lost all hope. Yep, the truth hurts. Bagger racing ?. The shit show is now a freak show.

Wiki says the rear tyre delaminated, but watching the footage, I can see the front forks compress which suggest a braking force....... It looks like the rear tyre DID delaminate, but it looks to me like that is an EFFECT, and NOT the CAUSE........ My guess is the engine seized (common on 2 strokes) causing the back wheel to lock up, and blowing the rear tyre out........

I'm wondering if the gearbox seized causing the rear sprocket to seize

This was my first AMA race and a terrible experience. Was at the smallest “grandstand” near turn 6. Never again. AND if lapped traffic is a part of your series - it is garbage

This was when suzuki started cheating with traction control. Duhamel has said in interviews he could hear the bikes cutting out and tires skipping on exit. With that said: lets give an applause to Tommy and Duhamel on raw bikes fighting for third.

All the talk about Spies. Mladin wore his ass out. For 4 years. And the series did everything they could to Help Spies. Sad.

Yep...not much competition for Mladin...there were a lot of boring races for second and third during his reign.

that yosh suzuki "bending the rules"with traction control ruined the racing . Behind the cheating yosh suzuki's was where the real racing was.@@thurney4343

I was there ...Im sure it rained on/off most of the day which made it tricky for tyre choice with riders on wets or cut slicks ...these tyres then overheated on the last few laps causing the spills

Going to throw out a question.? What rider crashed off his bike and dropped oil on the track after getting back on his bike causing the rule now used by BSB that if you come off your bike you can't get back on it. Been searching BSB videos can't find that actual crash.?
