The Indian are biased to take full advantage of hiring their own people even when there are qualified employees in the bench. I have had bad experiences with North Indian colleagues while working in the West. The most serious racism (maybe ethnic rivalry) that I faced was with a man who was of my uncle's age This happened while travelling in the Delhi metro - I was loudly speaking with my friend in my language and just before entering the train, he purposefully pushed me as if unknowingly. Most other countrymen are much more polite and nice than North Indians. They have some inflated view of themselves and never realize that North India has more poor people than the whole of sub-Saharan Africa - a total of 49 countries.
