The toddlers nap on cots in the playroom and I have 2 portable cribs across in the main living room

Hello!! I just wanted to say thank you so much for this video!!! I used it for a project my son had at school. I’m not crafty at all and this was so helpful for me!! Thank you!

Can you add a storage shed outside?
@learntoplay22Ай бұрын
Unfortunately there’s no room. In the west side of the building we only have 12 feet from the exterior wall and the east side is where the playground is and that’s the end of our property line.

The daycare we use for our kiddo made us supply diapers and wipes for our own kiddos. Plus they don't serve food or snacks in any of the rooms.

I really enjoy your youtube channel, especially the way you cover it. I noticed a few areas where I could help optimize your videos to reach a larger audience. Would you be open to discussing this further?

A tip with the Ikea high chairs, you should look into adding a foot rest onto them. It greatly reduces their choking risk.

How do you divide your time between the center & home daycare? Did your sister decide to work with you @ your home daycare?
@learntoplay22Ай бұрын
No she is now working with the elderly. To answer your question in regards to dividing my time I actually moved back to my home state (a state away), so I go back on the weekends and check in with my director daily. I scheduled myself off on the federal holidays so that I can go to the center on those days seeing we are typically opened on those holidays.

Great blog it’s hard to believe that a seven month old is on solid food regular food. It seems a little young to me. I have done daycare for 20 years as of now I am retired. But I have never a seven month old eating regular food. Usually they are still on Google food.

I know at my center my kiddos will not eat oatmeal. I don’t know if it’s a texture or what, but I’ve tried it with 4 different groups and it’s been a no go with all of them

Of course I bought a jumbo box of it too 😂

Do you go to Good Will or Salvation Army, or different type of second hand. I am going to branch out to other locations. Our stores never have kids stuff. And if so it is junk.
@learntoplay222 ай бұрын
I have a Savers by me and a store called volunteers of America. The volunteers is my favorite and where I score the best stuff. Usually the Salvation Army by me is junk too.

It's good seeing you again. You don't miss being I your center? It's nice I'm starting my new childcare center soon
@learntoplay222 ай бұрын
I do miss being at the center but I also realized I did not want to be the director and boss of 10 employees on a daily basis. I love my team there and I love the kids and families as well. To see your dream you’ve had for so many years come to life is such an amazing feeling. I created the center that I would want my own children to have gone to and I’m very proud of that. But I also recognize that in order for the center to be everything I want it to be, I needed to build a strong team and have the right director in place to see that out.

I love your setup. I just started an in home daycare and I hope to get on your level one day! Thank you for sharing your experience on here, it’s very inspiring and gives me some good ideas on what I can do with my kiddos. ☺️

That’s what I was thinking as well. Not a fan of sandboxes lol. I also thought the daycare kids would have fun with it being empty and using it as a boat.
