My concern is, why must there be some negative sentiments from the narrator when it comes to the african guy?

I saw a documentary (maybe during the nineties) where they showed the developement of a bicycle-airplane. A woman was training on this plane, checking the design, adjustments etc. The day of the show, a man drived the plane. I was thinking: why another person? Why not keeping the one who did the tests? Does anybody remember this documentary?

Wow, "10 Homemade Helicopters Flying Successfully" sounds like an incredible showcase of creativity and engineering prowess! It's fascinating to see how people can channel their skills and resources to build something as complex as helicopters. The fact that they are flying successfully is a testament to the meticulous planning and dedication involved. It's inspiring to see such innovation and determination in action. Keep soaring high with your amazing ideas! 🚁✨🌟

Possibly one of the fastest ways to become a quadriplegic that there is!
The Hungarian engineer was quite a birdl! So was the Japanese whose engine sounded like that of an advanced machine, and that US Army veteran with his autogyro another bird, and the Greek engineer was impressive too, his machine looked so refined... Anyway all these backyard engineers got to have a special website dedicated to their engineering skills and effort... Oh and that African pilot's government should encourage him with some meaningful funds, the guy is gifted, Africans need people like that, we too can do!

Revolution helicopter company in the 90s sold a kit for 30k. But the engine clearly stated only for experimental use only not for aircraft. Lots of people crash and self deleted on those. That one guy reminded me of the gyro captain from Road Warrior.

birds have a very safe flight but not because they flap their wings. an electric engine and propeller can be safe enough, but the secret is control. birds can fly in extreme turbulence because they have variable geometry wings, they can fully fold, thus minimising the effects of turbulence they can also react faster and have perfect reflexes that they practice every day, but the main factor is the folding wing.

A helo pilot once described it to me as it doesn't so much fly as is looking for a place to crash. dunno why someone without proper understanding would try build one. Calling them engineers is a lie as they obviously don't have the schooling or education to back that.
