So your little "Evil Laugh?" "Diabolical Laugh?" I'm unsure what to call it, but it comes out at those times when others might say "what have I gotten myself into?" And maybe they're feeling overwhelmed? HOWEVER ... when I hear you make that laugh, I 100% believe it's you telling yourself "FK Yes, we're doing it!!" Case in point, you did it looking at 4 massive bundles of bubble wrap!! Bubble Wrap Dude!!!! You're a sick man and I set aside time to enjoy these vids within my weekly schedule. Appreciate you Buddy.

Hi Chris, thanks for the great start to my week with your video. I was wandering whether you have a rule about the minimum amount of profit you earn per item. (Don't need specifics) I'm only in my first year but I am kind of thinking that as long as an item is earning me profit I don't really care. Lots of people talking about only ever spending 5$ and selling for 25$ I I wouldn't have enough stock if I stuck to the rules...perhaps it will come latter when I have more knowledge. Oh and please buy a coffee machine 😂😂
@CLFurlong
@CLFurlong Күн бұрын
Yo yo! Such a great question, I’ll answer here in short and add one for next week in the video : If I was starting again, my approach would be the item has to profit me enough to buy a minimum of 2 more of them, but ideally the more the better so yes if spending $5 gets you $25 profit you can got buy 5 more :) It’s tough at the start when learning.

Question: Do you find that doing these videos has helped with sales in your store or do you just have more people looking (other resellers) but not buying? I am considering doing youtube but I dont want it to hinder my store.
@CLFurlong

@@merridybenton7028 hey! Nope, I don’t share my store publicly (intentionally) and I don’t do KZbin to make sales on eBay, it’s more of a documenting of the journey - I’d be doing this if it was a lawn mowing business or a vending machine business. However not to say, that by doing KZbin you can’t use it for eBay sales - you can certainly do that. Not sure why you think it would hinder your store. The other point you asked… yes I get a lot of views which are not buyers, just other viewers from the channel I think 🤔

With all the heavy wholesale lots you're getting, I'm wondering if you've done a OH&S lifting and moving stuff induction anywhere? We did it at the IGA warehouse in Brisbane then another one in Mulgrave Woolworths warehouse. Better to push than pull. Bend your knees, not your back. Step around, don't turn your spine. Hold heavy items close to your chest with your back straight. Not with straight arms. Physio exercises for your back Doing the bridge on a gym ball - lower back Standing upright with your feet and shoulders to the wall and breathe in hold for 15 seconds - upper back. Crouch down onto one leg and push a solid pole/wall with your spine curved. Are you sitting on an ergonomic office chair? Sometimes see some cheap gas lift chairs at the Hampton Park recycle shed

in terms of the wholesale lots, the beauty if the storage unit is we get all the trolleys and things to move stuff around which takes the pressure off lifting. When what you do triggers someone, your existence presents an unexpected mirror that they have to face up to or shy away from. That decision is uncomfortable as nobody likes to be exposed. We have this conversation constantly in our Discord around judgement and curiosity. Rather than insist that what someone triggering you is doing is wrong/fake/untrue/impossible/exaggerated... consider asking questions about how what they are doing might be right/real/true/possible/accurate. And as always, prepare to learn :) I enjoyed our catchup :) Being vulnerable whilst uncomfortable is mighty beneficial for both parties. I value your trust and friendship ❤

I only started this year Chris, so don’t have a frame of reference for what it was like in the past. But I’m honestly overwhelmed with the amount of stuff out there (I’m in Brisbane, so not sure what it’s like in regional areas). I’m doing a bit of everything, so there is always something available (albeit I need to research new categories which slows me down). My take is that you need to be driven and disciplined and things will happen. An example of this is a garage sale a few weeks ago that advertised 3000+ books (my favourite). I spent an hour the day before going through the photos so I could go to each book shelf and grab what I wanted first. Turned out to be a waste in the end as I was there for over an hour before anyone else turned up. I spent $273, have listed (some are still in draft) $6,250, with many more to be listed. Have sold 13 books so far from that garage sale for $770 + post. Dead set absolute cracker!!!! I get overwhelmed to be honest, but then I look at what you get through in a week and I take a deep breath (have a cuppa) and keep going.
